Freddie, an Arab guy came up and kissed my bump - really inappropriate, he was drunk and I'm assuming wouldn't have done it under normal circumstances - hubby went mental...

One or two fellas have asked really sheepishly - said they had never felt a pregnant lady belly before which I didn't mind cos they were so nice about it..

Osteopath is pretty happy with my hips now, just another appointment in 2 weeks time before Eid and I should be full term at that stage...

I was better with it than I thought I would be. Don't mind people I know touching bump, so long as they ask first. Strangers I would hate though. Thankfully, no stranger has tried.

Day off for me today, and I have been busy! We had a flat tyre last night after the theatre  OH couldn't get the wheel off as a nut was corroded so had to ring AA, fair play I mentioned I was 8mths pregnant and they came within 15mins and put the spare on. Our kitten is being spayed today so had to take her to vets at 8am, then got new tyres, went to Asda, won tickets to the cricket on the radio and was home by 9am :rotfl:. I'm putting my feet up and catching up on some tv now, need to fetch the kitten at half 12, and this afternoon I am going to sort bits out in the nursery and pack hospital bags.

I've had really achey sore fingers for the last two days. Had anyone else had this? Had a Google which suggests carpal tunnel, hope it's eases off soon as its quite painful at times.

ThinkPink - My fingers are so sore some days, started about week 30 and now it's like a constant ache at times!
OH had someone feel her bump yesterday.

I had my first unsolicited bump feel yesterday . I've never liked people touching my belly anyway pre pregnancy, now I like it when OH does it but I get jumpy when others do. I've only let my step daughter, mum and nan touch it, and they all asked beforehand (well don't think SD did but she is only 6!). Yesterday my colleague could see baby's bum sticking out of my bump and asked to touch, I didn't really mind this as we are friendly, but another colleague came in the office then and thought it was a free for all and felt it too!

I think some of my friends anyways are just very excited about the prospect of feeling a little baby again in the belly - probably reminds them of when they were pregnant - I don't mind too much but I appreciate people asking!

I have heard horror stories though of in the hospital about midwives grabbing nipples to 'help' with breastfeeding - that would make me so uncomfortable!!

  • I only have a small bump at the moment so no strangers touching it yet... a couple of my work colleagues often talk to it though and say hello to the baby! I find it strange but only because I still don't feel like there is anything in there :-)

  • I shouted at someone who grabbed my bump. Asked them how they liked it and put my hand on their stomach. They did catch me on a bad day. Normally I'd just back off and tell them not to.
Had a few friends ask and that's ok. But if it's someone I don't know well, they get shouted at or told off.
I'll be the same if people pull down the pram hood or lean in. I see people do it to other people and I know it would drive me insane.

I'm only 18 weeks so no bump to speak off at moment but can imagine I won't want random people grabbing a feel when it's more visible .

    Hope your all ok x
  • Random question, did you all just get sent letters for your midwife appointments? They have been very good so far at booking my appointments and/or sending the letters as required.

I do already have a 28 week appointment booked in with the consultant (and my GTT a week before) but should I have a 25 week appointment as this is my first baby? Just wondered if anyone else did!

I keep getting texts from my doctors surgery to remind me to book my whooping cough jab so I've got that next week.
