  • Euro- The texts are unbearable aren't they? like pig says if you had already had her then they would know by now. I know people mean well by it and are just interested but seriously I am getting a stupid amount of texts each day and have done for the past 2 weeks now!! I want to be rude about it but just end up replying with 'no news yet'.

41 weeks here and my sweep is tomorrow at 11:15 arghhhh I'm terrified, I have a vision of my waters breaking on the table.

As for people touching my bump I'm really not bothered by it at all, I probably would be if it was a stranger (fortunately that hasn't happened... yet!)

Yes, it's very frustrating. Some people are straight to the point and ask directly, and then there's the others who think they're being subtle with things like 'sooo, how are you today? Everything OK????'. Which is pointless. We all know it's code for 'had the baby yet/in labour yet?'.

I'm trying very hard to be polite at the moment and not answer sarcastically. I know they're excited. I know they mean well. I know they're eager to meet her. But so are we and no one us as frustrated as we are. We don't need it pointed out 50 times a day because they all forget that they aren't the only ones asking lol

Sorry for the whinge. I'm quite grumpy today. Not sleeping well.

Good luck with the sweep tomorrow. You'll be fine :) fingers crossed it works for you :)

Well I have been to the midwife, she says I have a posterior cervix which is quite high so she couldn't reach it to do the sweep, babys head is fully engaged and sitting low down but it doesn't seem to be making much difference. Oh my god it was so uncomfortable and since leaving there I keep getting pains shooting through my bits, not fanny daggers but like the actual hole is hurting tmi sorry, did you get this?

I have a hospital appointment on Monday morning (prior to the induction on Tuesday) so she is coming to our house early monday to give it another whirl. I am praying to god he is here before then!!

Yay to sleep :j ... I didn't get much last night, makes me laugh when people say get all your sleep now, I'm convinced I will sleep better when baby is here. How are you feeling?

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry to hear that. It's so frustrating isn't it? It was quite uncomfortable. I didn't have any pains after, but they did warn me they could happen and were quite normal as they will have irritated the cervix. I have been having fanny daggers ever since though, so I think baby is at least engaging more (which is progress for me).

Fingers crossed things get started for you soon. Sometimes just an internal exam can start things off. Or so I'm told. My next sweep attempt is Monday also, so at least we'll be in the same boat on Monday.

Yeah, I've been sleeping terribly in the third trimester so I get really frustrated when people try to tell me that I'm not tired cos baby isn't here yet. I've only been getting around 4 or 5 hours a night for months, interrupted by 4 or 5 toilet trips a night. I might get less, I might get more when baby is here. It doesn't really matter, it doesn't stop me from being tired now.

I'm alright thanks hun. Had a stomach upset for a few days, hence the little to no sleep. For a while I thought it might be an early labour sign, but DH came down with it too. Thankfully it's eased off, which is why I got a good night's sleep last night :)

    How are you feeling? X

I was sleeping maybe 2-3 hours before mine arrived.. I got a whole 7 hours last night.. no loo runs, no waking to turn over, no crying in pain, no insomnia... one feed at 5:30am and that was it.. you definitely sleep better once baby arrives.. unless you get a crazy baby that refuses to sleep!

I just wish the infected stitches would heal and the nether regions would stop being so sore .. I feel quite dreadful still. I still need the crutches to walk though.. I can pootle about the house but any further I need them :(

Still nothing from physio.. as if anything will ever come.. but I have the pre-op through for my dental surgery.. 5th August..

Yeah, I think people think that you exaggerate how tired you are, the insomnia, the aches and pains, the loo trips etc, and that's if you don't suffer with SPD or anything else.

I hate heartburn at the moment. It gets so bad at night too.

I hope your stitches heal soon pigpen, and that you get the physio you need. Sucks about the dental surgery. Hope it goes smoothly for you. I'll definitely need a filling once this little one has arrived. I can feel a hole in one of my teeth. It wasn't there before pregnancy. At least it will be free to fix and isn't giving me any jip at the moment.

I definitely get more sleep now than I did when I was pregnant. Catherine sleeps 11pm until 4am and then 5am until about 9am. It's great. Even have time for an afternoon nap!

Well done Pig, Catherine is now 9lbs 7oz. She's a milk monster. We call her "tank" haha.
