delurking from the 1+ thread - agree with pigpen on this one, just chuck a couple of nappies and a pack of wipes under the pram and it's much easier than fiddling around with a bag. It also saves you forgetting the bag. We leave our pushchair folded in the car all the time and they never fall out (mothercare oyster and cheepo folding one for when space is at a premium)0

No Changing Bag is fine if you always have your pram with you but what about when you visit friends in the car and won't be taking the pram with you, or instead of the pram you will be using a sling/wrap/carrier sometimes? I don't fancy having to stuff my pockets with nappies thanks. My pram will also always need folding up in the back of our cars and probably won't close with things in the basket and the seat attached.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

I've ordered our pram this morning. Would have been a tenner cheaper if I'd ordered it before the referendum.
100 days til due date today! Into double digits soon.
Bit crazy here. We got our new flooring down in the new garage conversion, it looks really good. Wood effect vinyl but it's really nice and thick, feels comfy. They fit it really well, especially considering how awkward of a shape the room is and nine metres long!
We've had bad news about our extension, ground outside is all soft and rubble filled, so they're going to have to do something much more expensive to sort the foundations. Will find out the price tonight. Scary...will probably be at least a couple thousand.
Problem is since they've already started digging, we can't really just cancel the whole thing. Well we could, but we'll have had to pay them a large sum of money to basically make a mess of the garden!
Baby is doing well, kicking lots, also seems to be doing lots of complex feeling movements like turns and somersaults. Can feel his limbs passing across her belly. It's really cool.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -
I'm also undecided on feeding so may need to take bottles/ cartons etc out with me. I think the way my pushchair folds could lead to things falling out, but I'll see how I get on and if I do find I use the change bag much.
Wow, can't believe it's only 100 days Freddie. I've not worked out how many days til due date, I'm counting down on number of days left at work!!
4d scan today in an hours time, really hope all is looking ok and get confirmation he is a he!!0 -
I hope you had a lovely birthday Skint, baby might be here by now?!
I hope your scan goes well today ThinkPink.
I think we're going to pay the deposit for a travel system today, after that a baby carrier is the last thing on our list other than the every day/smaller things.
I hope everyone is feeling well, fingers crossed the quote is reasonable Freddie.0 -

I can't use a sling because my hips are so bad but I put 2-3 nappies and a little tub of wipes in my bag.. sometimes I add a muslin and/or spare sleepsuit. I do have spare knickers for my 2 y/o in my coat pocket though lol.
I always keep wipes and a couple of nappies in the car anyway... and a pottyLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Scan went well, he is definitely a little bit although he was being a little monkey and kept his face covered with his hands most of the time so she struggled to get pictures of him, and we asked her to double check he was a boy and he was very reluctant to let her check!! Got there in the end though!!0

Ahh how lovely think! Glad it went well
Hoping Skint had a great birthday and that little one is making his grand entrance for her.

What monitor has everyone got? It's about the last thing I need to get (oh and a couple of pram blankets but that's easy and potentially feeding stuff once I've made a decision about feeding!!) and I'm not sure which one to get. I'm thinking of one with a sensor mat but just wondered if anyone had any recommendations.
Can't believe I pretty much have everything now, it's becoming scarily real now!!0 -
ThinkPink we are looking at video ones but not sure. The sensor one I'm
Not convinced on. It's a very personal thing but I think it would give me even more to worry about... A friends baby used to hold his breath every now and then just because it's something they do! However a friend is getting one of the sensor ones as she feels it will help her relax. They do go off quite a lot for various reasons, if the baby rolls over etc.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
