Thanks for all your messages. Catherine is getting on great. I'm still in hospital due to blood loss and low iron levels. Hope to be home Wednesday at latest.

She's latching great onto left breast but struggling onto the right as pretty inverted. Breast feeding woman coming to visit me tomorrow!

Appointment for ECV is at 12pm. Will take about 3 hours in all, and it's best I don't eat anymore now until it's done as they'll be pressing on belly etc. Now all I can think about is food! Haha

Hope pigpen is OK? Maybe she went into early labour? I know she said there was always a chance with her. Hope you're OK pigpen! :)

Good luck Euro x EDIT - yay!

Had MW appt today, all good with me and baby. I'm 32 weeks today, and starting to realise it's not long to go!

Back in work today after a week off :( but worked out that I only have 20 working days left over the next 4.5 weeks til maternity leave starts :D. Quite a easy day back as not in til 10am due to MW appt, then out for 2 hour lunch for colleague's birthday and then finishing half hour early for antenatal classes which start tonight. Hoping I won't melt in the room!

Great news! Must be a huge relief.

I'm on countdown at work today. Keep asking them "have I told you I finish in six weeks?!" Only minutes after I've already said it and winding them up. Going to miss my little team. They've really looked after me and call my bump their niece. :)
If only I was finishing just for maternity and not early because husband is having his op. I almost can't look forward to finishing because it's a scary thing hanging over us. But the hospital he will be at and the specialist both look amazing. Had to go private because the op couldn't be done on NHS and waiting list for even the tests, as an emergency case, was November at the earliest. Crazy. So that's a bit of peace of mind.

I know it's stupidly early, but we wanted a little bookcase full of books for her nursery, so we can read to her right away and she can handle the cardbooks as she grows. We were doing well already, but a friend bought us today a massive set of all the Beatrix Potter books. Card versions for when she's younger and really nice versions for when she's older.

And her teddy bear arrived from my brother too. All the babies in the family have a Steiff bear from him when they were born (and none are allowed to touch them!!) and he didn't want to leave her out. He had a massive stroke last year and still struggles very much with moving and speaking more than a few words, but when I was there on Sunday he said "a bear for Zoe" as soon as I walked in, and mum said he'd had my sister order one for her. I was really choked up. He keeps saying her name and pointing at how fat I am. So it's at least giving him something to look forward to.

Yeah, the chances of success for a first pregnancy are only about 30%! But I thought it was worth a shot to try and avoid a c-section.

I think baby's starting position is key though. Mine wasn't engaged and had her feet up (not tucked under her), so it was much easier for doctor to get a good grip on her bum and head and encourage her to move.

When they did the scan afterwards, to confirm she was now head down, she did look like she was flipping off the doc though! Hahaha

  • Yay brilliant news euro!! I have got my 38 week appointment on Thursday and keeping my fingers firmly crossed that this little man is still head down. Prob TMI but I had the worst case of diahorrea yesterday it would not stop, then I read that it could be my body clearing ready for the birth arghhh. I have still been getting horrendous period pains that come and go.. convinced I am in slow labour.

crazy- I nearly cried when I read about the teddy for Zoe, that is so sweet!!!
