Congrats Toots!
RE: pram baskets, ours is amazing and I use it all of the time but it is a double so I expected a big basket! It can carry up to 5kg so perfect for a bit of shopping!
I haven't got one of those dream sheep things but I have found that a white noise machine/app works wonders for the twins and for us! We all sleep wonderfully. Last night I got a three and a half hour stretch of uninterrupted sleep! Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

We got rid of most of the stuff. The rest is going to have to go into the garage now (there's not so much left thankfully).
We got rid of quite a lot when we moved in February but still need to be more ruthless. As its a new build there just isn't any storage... And once baby is here, no doubt we will have a lot more stuff. We did 2 car boots last year but it just wasn't worth it so we ende up taking 3 car loads of stuff to the charity shop.
I seem to have developed a bump today although that might be my road dinnerstill not convinced I don't just look a bit podgy though!

We have been gradually sorting stuff out and getting rid of loads of stuff as baby's room had things like an extra set of chest of drawers and an Ikea unit so I've cleared all of that stuff out the unit and drawers now so they are ready to store baby bits. As we already have those Ikea bits I'm going to get the small Ikea children's wardrobe that's the same colour and then will have a look around when baby is ready to go to into his room for a cot bed that matches.
I will definitely be looking at getting an ewan the sheep. Anything that may help us get some sleep will be worth it!!0 -
Picked up a pack of nappies today whilst I was in aldi, really hope they fit him nicely as firstly I've read good things about them and secondly I couldn't believe how much cheaper they were than pampers!! My plan was to get a couple of packs before he is here so I'll probably pick up one other brand. How many nappies have people bought before their little ones arrive?0

ThinkPink I'm not sure how much it works out to per nappy but pampers is/was 241 or 2 for £10 in Mr T... Might be worth a try. DH won't let me really buy any nappies as we won't know if the baby is allergic etc etc... But I want to buy some each week/month when I food shop to build up a stash and reduce costs later on!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

I'll keep an eye out for deals in Tesco then. The current deal of 2x77 packs for £14 works out about 9p, aldi are 24 for £1.15 so about 5p each hence why I'm hoping they are suitable for him. I was going to stock up on a weekly basis but have heard that some brands suit babies more than others so I will wait until he is here as I wouldn't want to stock up on a brand that I find aren't very well fitted.0

Aldi nappies are incredible! Never had a leak and even when they're ridiculously heavy they're never damp. We're about to go onto size 2 (£3.49 for 70) as Saoirse is getting a bit too big for size 1, although she will last a few more weeks in them. Not bad to say she's over 9lbs now. Niamh is very comfortable in size 1 and she's about 8.5lbs now.
Aldi nappies work out to 4.8p each.
We have more Pampers size 2 than Aldi atm as many people bought Pampers for us, so I'll update soon how they compare to Aldi. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Its good to hear good things about them, most people really rate them, but like with all nappies there's a few people who find the fit isn't suited to their baby, I hope my baby isn't one of them!! I never really pop to also, but it's not far and is actually on the way when I visit my mum, so if they are good I'll definitely be popping in more often!!
Wow, sounds like your little girls are doing fab lulu.
People keep mentioning a baby shower to me, especially both mum's, but I'm going to put one of my sisters in charge of a gathering, not a baby shower!! I hate the idea that people feel obliged to bring a present along so want it made clear it's about having a catch up, a laugh and maybe some tasty cake!!0 -
To be fair if they don't work for your baby it's not like you're out of pocket like you would be if it was Pampers! Plus you could always flog them on a Facebook selling page
I didn't want a baby shower but my mum insisted. I said no presents but most people brought little bits for us, like clothes. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016
