sometimes they repeat at 34 or 36 weeks for fun and again if they decide to do a section.. basically they do them when they have someone who needs practice.. but you can say no!
They want to do mine monthly.. I had them done in December.. still waiting for results typically!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
This is why I don't bother with GP appointments.. I made my daughter late for school waiting 20 minutes for them to actually bother answering the phone... to be told the soonest I can have an appointment for a possible DVT at 32 weeks pregnant is.. NEXT Wednesday!!!
Yeah.. I might be dead by then.. NVM..
Needless to say in spite of the 3 letters and 2 phone calls I have had from them asking me to ring and make an appointment they are not in the habit of dishing out appointments.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Been nesting a little the last 2 days - dry vacuumed the couches and washed all pillow covers followed by fixing leaking shower and today I've put up all the pictures I kept putting off doing on the walls. Feeling rather productive today!
Bought extra hooks etc for the walls but I'm going to leave them back and get my money back as I don't need them. Need to give away a canvas as well and some shower rods that I'm not using (hate clutter).094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Had the GTT test this morning. Wasn't too bad, worse bit was waiting 2 hours on really uncomfortable chairs! Drink was disgusting though! Fingers crossed I don't get a call.
On a good note, they weighed me and I've only put in 8lbs. Happy with that! Didn't think I'd put on loads but was paranoid as I'm bigger anyway.
Currently debating whether to skive off work this afternoon now...* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

After our delivery woes a few weeks ago Mamas & Papas have given me a £50 voucher today so bought some curtains for the nursery with it. Delighted!0

Think the baby is sitting on a nerve as my leg is feeling funny. Also had a really bad nights sleep, couldn't get comfortable and when I did sleep I was having really horrible dreams0

Great news Toots!
Sorry you're having a rough time of it Lemon Tree. Hopefully you're little one won't keep you hanging around too long, so this will all soon be a thing of the past!
My little monkey has taken a liking to stretching out against my bladder, so I need to pee every two seconds, and I constantly have a head/bum (never sure which) sticking out of my stomach! lol
It's our antenatal class tonight. 6-9. I'll be asleep on the way home then! lol
Busy, busy, busy at work! I needed 5 minutes break from looking at figures and reports. My eyes are going square! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I did skive off this afternoon , caught up on a few things like the bank, fringe trim and getting a parcel. Then have sat in the sun in the garden with an ice cream
. However I have had a headache all afternoon so not 100% skiving!
Ooh that reminds me Euro, I've also booked antenatal classes for me and OH, starting 31st May for 3 weeks.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Well the antenatal class was actually really good and very informative.
It was a lot to cover in 3 short hours, but the midwife did a pretty good job. And she stayed behind for a little why for anyone who had any extra questions.
I feel more informed about the pain relief options (drugs wise) available, and I don't like any of them! lol So, I'm thinking of getting a tens machine (or hiring one) and using that until I'm ready to get in the pool (if it's available).
I'm also leaning towards going to the main hospital now, rather than the midwife led unit locally. 2 reasons - if baby is still breech and I want to try a vaginal delivery, I can't do it at the midwife led unit and every time my blood pressure has gone up, it seems to be linked to pain. Contractions are painful, so I'm expecting that my blood pressure will go up. Midwife advised that I can always try at the midwife led unit, but if blood pressure did go up, they would transfer me to the main hospital anyway as it is beyond their scope to be able to administer any blood pressure medication to me in the midwife led unit. So, I'm kinda thinking that it might just be easier to 'cut out the middle man' so to speak and go straight to the main hospital.
All of this is, of course, if little one takes her time getting here. If she decides to come very quickly then it will be ambulance lol. I understand that's unlikely though, as it's my first baby and I'm in my thirties. Not guaranteed, of course.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Hi everyone hope your all well.
Been non stop here with workready for my Mat leave now but i've 48 more working days left
So uncomfortable today feel like i'm going to burst. Had my GTT on Tuesday and haven't heard anything so hoping no news is good news.
Started decorating the nursery after spending hours on pintrest, we've gone for gold mint & pink. With gold polka dot decals on the wall - looks an awful lot nicer than it sounds :rotfl:
Really suffering with hayfever today, can we take anything for it? - might dig out my maxi dresses so I can sit in work in comfort these maternity tights are driving me mad. I've a feeling as soon as I dig out the dresses the sun will disappear!0
