Ladies, cotton is your friend, shorts also are really good. I've some light linen trousers as well gifted to me and my gorgeous maternity leggings
please feel for me as I try and survive in 35-40 degree weather the next 12 weeks! Haha
Put decals up in the nursery today - so cute! I hate blank walls and cos we are renting it's pretty ideal for us as we can just take them off when we are done here
Hugs for anyone with aches and pains. Heartburn is a !!!!!! but I've packets of Rennies everywhere to keep it at bay if it happens - bedside locker, my handbag, car etc094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

shorts are not my friend!!! I'd look like a prize pig.. the thought of my legs being out puts me off my lunch, I couldn't inflict sich a hideous sight on the rest of the world!.. not that I could even get them on.. putting knickers on nearly kills me, I'm seriously considering just going commando!!.. dresses and chub-rub for the next couple of months here regardless of the weather.
And no linen.. it looks like used loo paper and shrinks massively first wash so you end up crinkly and half-mast!.. I have many hates for linen.. cotton isn't much better.. it is too crumply, like elephant skin.. you have no idea how lazy some of us are hahaha
I have rennies and gaviscon and take both in copious amounts.. I appear to have eaten my supply of rennies though so need to hobble to chemist at the end of the street.. and I have a letter to post..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I've just found that there is a SMP calculator for employers on the gov.uk website. I've used it myself to calculate my own SMP, so it at least gives me an indication.
You might find it useful if you're only entitled to SMP (as I am): https://www.gov.uk/maternity-paternity-calculatorFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I've pretty much sorted my hospital bags today, thought it best as they're going to try and get things started next week if I haven't gone naturally. Have one to take in and one for extras to be kept in the car just in case.
Gave in last night and took tablets for my pelvis pain so finally got some sleep after 2am.
Hubby picked up some turf today so I should be able to get the car seat base in the car ready as hubby won't do it. It frustrates me that he won't do such things in case he gets stuff wrong, how does he think I learnt? Just follow the destructions man!0 -
Ohh, no wonder you're frustrated about that Lemon! I would be too!
I hope your pelvis pain eases for you.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Received one hand delivered letter regarding my complaint re threats from midwives.. The only one brave enough to come was the mw I have known for 22 years haha!
She claimed to see my point and said they would still send appointments and I said fine send them .. Neither here nor there really
I also said I am not staying in hospital a second longer than it takes to get on my feet unless the baby needs it of course which is the main thing I am utterly irrelevant once it is out.. and I want my own room I'm not risking having them put someone in a room with me when they have a stomach bug which is why I left last time .. See, I don't have unrealistic requests.. I'm just not wanting to expose myself to unecessary risks .. If they won't protect patients I will do it myself!
The inhabitant is feeling really heavy today and my feet are porky again.. Though the crazy cleaning may not have helped but is necessary my house is a hovelLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I just picked up an absolute bargain on Gumtree
. A glider rocking nursing chair and footstool for just £30! Only a year old and in really good condition. So pleased! I'm contemplating recovering on dyeing it, but may just check a nice throw over it.
