Hi all
25 weeks today so joining you here.
Bit of a complicated pregnancy so far, baby has cleft lip & palate and a few other 'issues' that point to a genetic syndrome of some type. We haven't had any testing. I have a specialist fetal cardiac scan tomorrow, baby has been very awkwardly positioned since 20 weeks so hoping that s/he has moved tomorrow so they can at least get this looked at properly.

I slept the whole night through!! :j No toilet break, no waking up in uncomfortable positions or painful hips etc. What's to bet I won't sleep for next few nights now?! :rotfl:

I'm feeling very annoyed this morning. A Director at my office was signed off sick on Monday, for 5 days, with gastroenteritis. Only, today, HR emailed to say he hopes to be back in tomorrow!! So, I've expressed my concern about this, and how contagious he is, and linked to NHS website about it, and stated that as a pregnant woman, gastroenteritis can be very serious and I REALLY do not want to catch it!!


Just waiting on a response now. He's got a laptop, ipad and work mobile. There is NO reason why he can't work from home for a couple of days, until he's past the contagious stage.


I'll be soooo annoyed if he comes into the office tomorrow! He's the same one who came in when he was full of cold and passed that onto me!!

Hi all! I'm a newbie as well - 24 weeks + 1 here.

Things have been going pretty good, but I'm getting a little more heartburn and insomnia this last week.

Been doing my anti natal classes this week, interesting enough but still feel like there are loads of things that I need to look up myself.

Oh becca you must be worried half silly.. If may be there are no other issues but hopefully the scans will be able to reassure you further xx

OH has had a meltdown at his mother and is refusing to ever come again.. She is well @rsed he is staying at his dad's when he comes for the wedding.. His dad is invited and giving him a lift there and back so it is much more convenient than getting picked up and dropped off elsewhere.. But of course his mother took it with a major huff! I swear I am going to slap them all!

I suggested she came back with OH for a few days as it will be half term but I bet she won't!! She said she can't manage the train but if she came back with OH the Tuesday her husband could pick her up Thursday or Friday

What happened with the idiot in work euro? I cannot stand people like that, sometimes I wonder if they just don't want to be off sick which I kind of understand but when it is putting other people in jeopardy it really winds me up.

I wasn't the only person who raised objections, so HR spoke to him and agreed that he would not come into the office until Monday now. He has been in during the evening yesterday though, to pick up some files etc. So I bought my Dettol spray with me and have sprayed all of the handles, lightswitches, photocopier etc etc. Anything he may have touched when he was here. Paranoid much?! lol


I think, HR had actually put pressure on him to return to work earlier. His team are very, very behind on work. They recently lost a team member, another has just gone off for an op and won't be back for weeks and he was already off all last week on holiday. As you can imagine, some clients are getting quite upset at the delays now.


Still, no good him coming in and making everyone else ill as it will just exacerbate the problem!

Hello ladies!

27+6 today...nothing really to report, very VERY much enjoying lying on the couch on an evening and seeing Jnr squirming about. Very VERY much not enjoying my expanding thighs and bottom! Haha, I had my first proper hormonal breakdown earlier when I was looking at my WhatsApp pics I've sent my OH since I got my new phone. Caught a glimpse of my pre pregnancy body in a couple and burst out crying, sobbing...at work. Had to go and hide in the toilets. What a ridiculous thing to cry about, I know.
According to Ovia I hit my 2nd viability milestone last week, which is great....for some reason I have 30 in my head, it WAS 24, but now if I hit 30 and he's still cooking away nicely, I feel as though I'll relax a lot. With DD it never crossed my mind that she might appear early, but because she did I'm obsessing about it happening again.
