Glad to hear you have some support at home, either way
Yeah, they do. You get the standard bounty pack at booking in. Mostly info in there, free vitamins and a pen! Lol but included is a voucher for their mum to be pack. So I completed that and handed it over. Got some good bits in there.
Have got my hospital bag mostly sorted now, and I've got most of baby's stuff ready, but I need a changing bag still. Gutted that boots stopped offering their free one with the parenting club.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Probably TMI but last night I put my nightie on with no bra (I practically always have a bra on these days) came downstairs to make a brew and as I lifted my arm forward I felt a tiny bit of wetness which could have come from nowhere other than my boob  I quickly lifted my nightie up (leaving nothing to the imagination) to inspect where it had come from when Hubby walked in, he was like "what the hell are you doing?" I quickly ran upstairs and put my bra on, you know, out of sight, out of mind and all that. I guess I will have to buy some pads now. Is this normal at 29 +3?
Haha I can just imagine his shockI did have some leakage with my son but not sure how early it was. I guess everyone is different, I have had it slightly for a while but only enough to leave a mark on my bra but last night the pressure must have been too much and woke up with a big wet patch.

Maybe TMI but I have no idea if my water broke last night or if I just couldn't make it to the toilet in time lol. A bit embarrassing if it's the second option!0

Ooohh that's exciting kroberts! Are you having contractions? Either way, it's probably best to call midwife and have it checked outFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0

No contractions which is why I'm unsure. I woke up in night feeling really ill afterwards but all seems quite normal now. I have a midwife appointment later on so will mention it to her then. So embarrassing though if I just wet myself haha0

KRoberts - we went to parent craft class at the hospital at the weekend. they said you must call even if you are unsure - it is more common than you think to be turned away being told it was urine, so don't worry about it if that is the case, but they need to know if it is your waters as they can only leave you a certain amount of time after that (48 hours?) as baby is out of its safe, sterile environment.
Fingers crossed it is you waters!!!! Exciting times!Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.100 -
sorry - cross posted.
if you have a midwife app today anyway you can discuss it then - much easier than having to ring triage and explain!Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.100 -
Yeah, that's what I've read too.
I've seen a lot of women on the netmums forum with the same query. Some it's urine, and some it's waters, so always best to check. The urine thing really is very common.
ETA: I think there is a test they do to confirm that it was your waters.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Hi all - was hoping to dip my toes in and say Hi :j
I need to step over from the 12-24 week thread as I'm now 25+3 and everything is looking good so far.
Had a consultant appt this morning and she's arranging for me to meet with a "normality midwife" - anybody have any idea what that's about?
She told us that we are aiming for a normal birth but I am still classed as high risk because of the auto immune condition so she will want me monitored throughout labour on the telemetric system but at present, can see no reason why I can't use the MLBU.
We're keeping an open mind and are happy to be guided by what they want us to do - they've been great so far.
