    Hi all,

Can I officially join you all? I'm 24 weeks today, due 26th July. I've popped in a couple times for advice etc, so I know you are all friendly :rotfl:.

    Welcome Gelly and Flutter :D

Sorry to hear some of you ladies are having such a hard time of it lately. It never rains but it pours, hey. I hope things improve for each and every one of you soon xx

My sleep is definitely worse now that I'm pregnant, but I'm lucky as I don't have much trouble getting off to sleep. Even if I get up for a wee (at least once a night, often more), I practically sleep walk to the toilet. Still, I do miss having a blissful, uninterrupted nights sleep. I guess this is preparation for what's to come!

Midwife apt at 11.40am this morning for me to check my blood pressure again. It's been fine at home, so hopefully all is OK.

Oh, and weird fact. I can feel baby's head from the outside now! I could even see it when I was laid on the sofa last night! So cool, and weird at the same time! lol

    xx

I noticed the same thing last week sometime and thought it might be his bum sticking out as it was quite high up and he has been head down. The other night my whole belly was leaning to the right I was trying to put him back to the middle which just caused him to kick me hehe stubborn already.

30 weeks tomorrow :) can't believe how fast it is going, really need to book in my whooping cough jab but this needle phobia seems to be getting worse

You'll soon get over it in hospital when you give birth, I was the same about giving blood, I was like a pin cushion for a week. By the end I was a lot less stressy over it!

If it makes you feel any better, I had mine last week and it's super quick, super small and I barely even felt a scratch. Honestly, it's tiny. Much smaller than the ones they use for blood samples (for example).

Thanks kroberts - subsequently had a call from the midwife at the hospital and she has arranged for me to see the "consultant midwife" to discuss birth options as I'm not a normal case plus will have 28 weeks blood tests whilst I'm there (although I'll be 28+6 by then!)

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Still can't quite believe I'm over here with you.

What stage did you start to notice a pattern in baby's movements? I do feel her kick during the day but not really noticed any particular pattern yet.

I'm seeing my local community midwife tomorrow morning for a 26 week check - will go with the flow and see what happens.

Saw GP yesterday afternoon at their request as I had a blood test on Friday and results were in. I've got elevated white blood cells and a high ESR at the moment but I'm due to see my Rheumatologist next week anyway so will mention it to him and see what he says. Another blood test lined up for when or after I've seen him.

Good job I don't have the needle phobia some of you do but hope you get through it - it's not nice to have it I'm sure. Have to inject myself daily until a few days before birth so I'd be scuppered if I had the phobia too!

Never.. they move when they do and don't when they don't.one didn't move at all, several moved constantly, one rarely moved but always had hiccups!

If his mother tells me to 'go put my feet up' and send me to a room with noone else in it like a leper once more I swear I will not be responsible for my actions.. I just snapped 'No! I don't want DVT and I will sit down when I want!' I don't sit down, I don't sit still and EVERYTHING hurts .. it hurts so much I can't sit properly on the loo (it's too high) and it takes my breath away just walking.. I have cabin fever!!!

They have the most uncomfortable sofas EVER to the point a dining chair is nicer to sit on!

Home tomorrow.. and I got out of the wedding invite! :D We are going to see the bride tomorrow.. and I'm not coming here again until after the eviction

Today I had a sneaky caramel slice for my 3pm pick me up, and my God did the baby go bonkers for that!!:D

Had my first pregnant woman moment with a stranger today. After work I went to Asda and was busting for the loo, the loos were full and a lady was waiting. I was absent mindedly rubbing my bump and bouncing cos of the need to wee, and the kind lady in front of me said "You go first, you look like you need it!!". How nice.

I've never really had a pattern. More movements after something sweet to eat. Some days I wouldn't feel much at all so would lie down and concentrate on movements for a bit. Mine has not been a kicker either, more of a wriggler. As long as you feel something that is good, you will come to know what is normal for you

    Welcome flutter.

Today it was a good job I've a good relationship with my manager, he asked how I was feeling and I told him outright that I felt !!!!!. Today the lift was out of order, if it hadn't been a half hour plus drive home I think I would have turned around. Killed me to get up those stairs, the rest of the morning I had a headache and braxton hicks and walking was an absolute nightmare. Then over lunch and afterwards I felt sick, and was sick about 5 mins before my meeting with my manager. I told him if I'd felt up to driving home after lunch I would have told him I was going. He's been warned if I wake up feeling crap tomorrow then I'll give him a call because I'm not going in.

Tonight I'm again trying to drain my feet and ankles and also trying to stave off crap every time I move them even half an inch.

Pregnancy is sooooo glamorous at the moment
