What do BH feel like? I've had a few nights where I get period type feelings, just wondering if these could be Braxton Hicks. I never had any with my son so not sure what they should be like.0

I didn't think I'd had any until I was monitored, when I thought it was baby turning so my tummy was going tight apparently that was BH. My stomach has been going rock solid recently...I assume that's them but I'm certainly no expert!0 -
Your uterus contracts ALL the time.. when you are pregnant, when you are not.. They are stronger when on your period and you feel those.. braxton hicks are the same but gradually get stronger.. They can be uncomfortable, even painful and can be felt from the outside of the tummy as the tummy going hard because the uterus is so big it is easier to feel than when it is its usual tiny size.
Flutter.. babys bones will start calcifying soon and becoming hard so you will feel them stronger soon.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning all
Hope everyone's OK, I'm thoroughly enjoying being on maternity leave at last. DD is at nursery today so I'm having a quiet day at home doing some batch cooking and putting my feet up with a new series on Netflix
BP and urine checks all fine yesterday, seeing my mw tomorrow for a regular appointment so will see what the plan is to carry on with monitoring it. No other symptoms and it's only marginally raised so I'm hoping it won't impact our home birth plans. We're doing a dry run with the pool at lunchtime, really excited to see it up and start setting up my birthing space!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

I didnt go to any! I couldnt make the 6:50 appoinment and sent OH to our daughter at 5:10 and he always takes DS3 at 7pm while I get the girls to bed.. he drives and I don't and as DS3 is 17 they dont need me there. After 2 school runs I was in too much pain to move.. the 10 minute walk took 25 minutes one way and 40 the other!
I got 4 hours sleep monday night.. 13 hours in hospital with Moomin yesterday.. when I got home my pelvis was agony.. I couldnt even walk upstairs to the loo without help! .. I got the 3 smalls ready for bed, made a cuppa then OH and DS3 started bickering over rice!! Because I refused to cook anyone food when I got home at 7:15... I threw a bit of a wobbly and went to bed (hungry, in need of more tea and in pain) to sulk because I had nowhere else to go...
I've not had an apology from any of them so I'm still in a pig of a mood.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
No more blurry vision here. I am due an eye test so I have booked one for this weekend.
I am back at work today after a couple days off and the office is roasting. I am going to need to invest in some lighter clothes I think! 27 weeks tomorrow and have midwife next Wednesday.
I am counting down the days at work, 48 working days to go! Yipee.0 -

Sounds lovely. It's my last week next week and although it's going to be strange not going to work I can't wait to be able to do more around the house and relax a bit more.0 -
Koberts if your anything like me you'll soon get used to it. I still like to keep in touch and know what's going on but like not having to deal with it all!
Toots it's so good when you just count the days! It'll be here in no time.
I think my OH is desperate to start paternity, it's a real shame they only get 2 weeks but I wasn't giving up my time!
Pigpen your quite right, sounds like you had too much on and others had to pull their weight. Rice arguments is all you need when you feel rotten!
A trial run is exciting Littlemoog! I have been watching back to back one born every minute to get me in the mindset lol. Glad all is going well and your enjoying your mat leave.
I've got my consultant appointment this morning, not sure what to expect as it was booked for after my due date at the start of my pregnancy then got moved to today. If they offer me a sweep I think I'll accept but wary of an induction. Would love to go naturally! We'll see what they say.0 -
Kroberts I have two full weeks left and I can't wait to sleep!
Toots not long now, it will fly by!
Pigpen, wow it sounds like you're really against it at the moment. Try to take it easy and if more arguments about rice occur, just throw the pan at them!
Oooh how exciting Moog. I wish I could have a waterbirth but it wasn't even an option for me due to BMI. Oh well.
Fingers crossed things start moving sweetilemon! My friend had 3 or 4 sweeps in her pregnancy btw.
I'm hating everything at the moment. OH and I keep arguing as he doesn't see my point on anything. He thinks it's rude to not let people just pop in whenever they feel like and he thinks I'm being horrible by not letting his family visit in the hospital. I told him that newborns feed anything up to 12 times a day for up to 40 mins at a time and he refused to believe it (this is also the man that thinks it's not true how long a woman bleeds for aftr giving birth...) So I really feel up against it at the moment. I almost left last night as I'm so stressed, tired, and upset with everything. I'm not being supported at all and I feel that he is putting the feelings of everyone else above mine, and I don't think that's fair.
I really don't know what to do.Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016
