It's not looking like it's a labour sign unfortunately but on the plus side I've managed to keep my sandwich down. Cheered up by a surprise mothers day card from bump which was so sweet of OH. Hope everyone is having a nice mothers day.
P.S is it just me getting irritated by the "any twinges?" comments?0 -
Sorry you're feeling poorly Sweetilemon, hope it passes quickly. The any signs? questions did my head in last time, started about 4 weeks before she was eventually born!
I've had an exciting day at maternity assessment, went for a blood pressure check this morning as it was a bit raised at my appointment in the week. It was even higher, but no other symptoms so sent home and told to ring in if I got head ache, stomach ache or any visual disturbances. 2 hours later I had a visual migraine while I was getting ready to go out for lunch so rang the day unit and went back in. 2.5 hours on the monitor and all seems well, bp settled back to normal levels, baby moving well etc. Missed lunch thoughthey've taken some bloods and I've to go for another bp check on Tuesday.

Hope all is ok Littlemoog. Disappointing about lunch but you would never have enjoyed it if you were worrying. Hopefully your mind will be put at rest on Tuesday.
I litrally feel like my baby is popping out my bump it's quite amazing. Surely they must be ready soon lol. Really worried I'll miss the early signs before active labour as I already struggle to define the braxton hicks between baby wriggling and not sure what to expect as a FTM. I'm sure I'll know eventually!0 -
sweet.. early signs are best ignored if you even get any.. I had a show with one which can reform anyway so not really a sign and the others my waters broke hours or days before they arrived so you cannot rely on anything.. you don't need to go to hospital any sooner than necessary and they only tell you to take paracetamol and go home.. and believe me, when it is labour you WILL know!! And only tell the necessary people when you are going to the hospital.. you may be there several days and the last thing you need is well meaning but incredibly annoying texts and calls asking how things are.. you might think it is sweet now but a few hours in you want to scream profanities at them to go away!!
My first went from not engaged at all to fully engaged in one movement.. that hurt.. a lot!!! The others were mostly carried so low they were practically falling out from about 30 weeks!! Littlemoog, take it easy! I hope the BP stays down for you.
Sweetielemon - I hope that baby decides to make their appearance soon
As for me, nothing much happening. Managed to get DH to go through all his clothes on Saturday and chuck out 2 black bin bags full!!! This is a bl00dy miracle! I've been trying to get him to do this since we got together (as he had more clothes than me, yet always wears the same bl00dy things). So, not only is there now space in our wardrobe to hang up things, our bedroom looks lovely and spacious again as everything has it's own 'spot', and I dusted and hoovered etc etc. Luffly!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Awww thanks Euro. Wow that sounds great!! Really need to sort out our wardrobes and paperwork. I'll give the place a clean today (all I seem to do now I'm not working!) Just want it all to be clean incase baby arrives, don't want to do housework in those first few days!0 -

Haha this sounds exactly like my husband, he keeps saying he will do it but never gets round to it. Every now and then I will chuck an old t-shirt of his out but I'm waiting for him to have a sort through0 -

It's alo what I was happy about with twins that there's no chance I'll go to 40 weeks so my due date is redundant. However if one more person asks me when my c-section or induction date is I will slap them! There is no reason why the babies need to come out so they will keep cooking in there until they're ready to see the world!
Had to have a conversation with OH about MIL on Saturday. She rang in the morning to say they "might" come over, to which OH said that we both had plans so we probably wouldn't be in. When I came home late afternoon, I pulled up outside my house and, I'm not even exaggerating, at exactly the same time their car pulled up. They had waited for one of us to come home! I'm livid! Who does that? We said we'd be out! I ended up having a full blown anxiety attack and crying for an hour because of how ambushed and trapped they make me feel. MIL had got me a small bunch of flowers and a mothers day card so I couldn't even turn them away without sounding ungrateful (and FWIW her getting me those made me feel so uncomfortable. I found it wrong of her to think she should be the one to do that, if anything it's OH's job. My mum knows those kinds of gestures from anyone but OH make my skin crawl so it hadn't even crossed her mind)
Ended up telling OH that unnanounced/uninvited visits are off limits, regardless of who it is, and if ANYONE, including his mother, comes over unnanounced when the twins are here, I will not be answering the door, and he accepted that :T (been reading a lot of DWIL Nation on Babycentre so I'm finally growing a backbone!)Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016
