Bamama so pleased all is well! Haha to the creepy photo...totally get it!

    Toots enjoy your Glasgow trip!

I don't know how you do it pigpen. I've been in pain for a week or so but consoled in the fact I've not long to go! It would be a real struggle for that length of time.

I've stocked up on paracetamol for when I go into labour, not that I think it'll make any difference whatsoever!

Secondly... everything is fine. The cardiologist measured the fluid at 1.5mm, well within normal range. He was very impressed. Found no other problems. He did however tell me to have a good moan to my midwife as I should have had a doctor's appointment or even a rescan before being referred to him. Had to hang around for a second appointment for what was basically a repeat of my anomaly scan. All ok there too. Spoke to another doc (fetal specialist this time) who was also impressed with the results and also miffed that I hadn't been rescanned before a referral. I've come away with an appointment to see the doc I should have seen before going, another scan in 2 weeks to check everything is ok and then 2 weeks later I have to have bloods taken to check for parvovirus antibodies. Apparently parvovirus can cause extra fluid so they want to rule it out. The results for it today were negative so we're expecting another negative in a month. Think it'll then be chalked up to being one of those things/inaccurate measurement the first time around.

I've also been printed a creepy skull shot of the baby. Bless him. Looks like a right weirdo.

Glad the appointment went well for you and fingers crossed it will continue being 'normal'

Sweeti.. I'm just glad it has taken this long to get to this point... I was on crutches at 14 weeks with the last one so I'm doing really well this time! Always a positive eh?! :D

Thanks all. I felt like I was there for at least a month today pigpen, it was *only* 5 hours though. Also... I've been convinced all week that I'm only 22 weeks so was utterly surprised when she said 23+1 XD made the end seem a lot closer.

Glad it was all good news Bamama, big relief for you :)

I've finally finished work, yay! Got lots of nice social plans for the next week, plus need to organise the last few bits for baby. DD is starting swimming lessons tonight and she's so excited, she came running through at half 6 this morning shouting about it!

Hugs for the SPD pigpen, I've only had twinges of it, but 2 of my sisters suffered very badly. I'm sure you know all the things to minimise it. I know my sisters were only offered physio on NHS, but I've read on my vbac fb group that chiropractic/osteopathy can really help - have you tried either in prev pregnancies?

I saw the obstetric physio once.. that took several refarrals and was pointless by the time they gave me an appointment.. I was 32 weeks and she arrved at 35!.. they refused to do a referral with this one even after how bad it was before! .. I had 3 referrals and no appointment with my 5 y/o, 3 referrals and then the MW rang the physios personal mobile and made an appointment with my 4 year old and my 2 year old I had 2 referrals and no appointment.. there is so little that can actually be done and I think being very very careful with ths one has held it at bay for a good while longer!

    I cant afford the osteopath.

5 days left at work spread over 2 weeks :) nearly there

I thought I had SPD but turns out it's varicose veins instead (very painful too) I had no idea you could get them there before :(
The midwife could only recommend trying support tights but I find them really uncomfy so cannot wear them.

Had my 25 week midwife appointment today (though am 24+4).

All good. Blood pressure good. CO2 levels good. Measured 24cms, which she said was good. Listened to heartbeat again, nice and strong. And she's a proper wriggler so, as usual, wouldn't stop moving! lol

28 week appointment booked in for 24th March. Will have anti-d then, and she said they'll take bloods again to check iron levels are still OK.

Have also booked in my Whooping Cough vaccine for 30th March.

Oh, and if my itching returns again I'm to call the hospital as she reckons they'll want to do blood tests.

That's good news euro... I have barely had any appointments, I had the booking in, then my 2 scans at 12 and 20 weeks and now nothing until week 28, I thought they were supposed to be quite regular with your first baby (not that I am complaining too much as I don't like going, but I guess it would be nice for reassurance).
