Congrats Pootle, hope all is well!

My parents live about 2.5 hours drive away but I will be calling them when I go into labour in the hope baby will wait until they get here and can look after my son. They shouldn't be too bad and will happily wait for the news rather than keep ringing or messaging. I'm not sure how long I will want them to stay for though :)

I had a 28 week scan today, like his sister this little one is in an awkward position. Breech laying dead straight up the middle of my tummy, still got some time before I need to start worrying though. My daughter was transverse until 34 weeks before she flipped and then Wednesday her feet under my ribs, as you do. It did make the scans tricky though as every time she tried to measure something the baby tuned away completely.
They have decided I'm not diabetic, again! Could have told them that, and have done, I may be big but my sugars are always between 4- 5.5 so it should be obvious. Even though they've transferred me away from the diabetic specialist they still want me to test two days a week to keep proving it. It's very frustrating!
I'll be telling my folks when I'm in labour as they will be looking after my daughter, and my sister is my second birth partner as she's a bit more use in that situation than hubby is

My inlaws are 100 miles away.. they will be told when we get around to it after the baby arrives.

    My dad won't be told.

My mother will be text when I get around to it.. she won't come running or being obnoxious unless I ask her to.. in which case she would be there in 5 seconds, on her broomstick setting fire to peoples ears.. she is my back up plan as always!

Noone will be told until the older children have been.

My oldest daughter will watch the 3 smalls, she lives across the street from me.

OMG.. if things kick off when we are there I may have to come home... I need vodka just thinking about it.

The house we bought had a dishwasher - got used to it very quickly, it broke yesterday now my dishes are all piled up where I used to do them as I went along. Cleaning kitchen is the task of the day. If we can't fix it I'll need to invest in another, not sure I can live without it lol. It's the first day today I've not planned to meet anyone/go for lunch in my mat leave. Enjoyed this with a 11am lie in and plan on sorting out our wardrobe ( still clothes in boxes from our move! ). My mum did hint that she'd be in the area but I didn't respond, really looking forward to a pottering around the house day. OH is finishing work early today anyway so don't have too long. I find it funny in one breath people say "catch up on sleep, relax, have time to yourself before baby comes" and in the second breath "oh, you're not doing anything? Let's do xyz" and constantly phone/text. I do appreciate it, just would like a few house catch up days with no timescale!

We just got a dishwasher when we moved in November Sweetilemon, I love it! One less job to argue about in the evenings ;) Sounds like a nice relaxing day :) I've been out for my leaving lunch to a lovely tea room and been given some little gifts for baby which is nice. Last day tomorrow, but I've still got lots to get through before then, and the MW in the morning which will likely mean I don't get to work until 11ish.

If it's an integrated one I thoroughly recommend the currys essentials one- really cheap but fantastic, had ours nearly a year and it's fab.

We have a currys giftcard so definately looking there for one. It's a space for a slimline dishwasher. OH is trying to fix it first, he is pretty good with stuff like that, saved us getting a new tumble drier not long ago. I had a look round currys this evening just incase. Now feel like a waddling penguin walking around the shops though - feel ready to pop at any time! Hopefully soon lol. Enjoy your last day Littlemoog!

    Lol very true!

I get so excited at the slightest movement thinking it's got to be a contraction to discover it's just baby moving or BH. Come on little one! I'm ready lol.
