You need some of my stroppiness Lulu!!

The longer they are in the better!! Hopefully you can get to 35 weeks and come straight home with them both and avoid SCBU entirely!

He said 'probably' wouldnt be in.. He needs to be more definite.. you cannot come today we have plans and will be out... maybe offer a day when it is convenient?

If they do it again tell them you are going back out just popped home to pick something up/have a poo/change clothes so they cant stay but thanks for coming bye! .. Having an action plan for a possible next time might help.. Are they not more likely to listen if you tell them?? I know OHs family won't take a fragment of notice if he says something but they will not argue with me (I'm a dragon clearly) ..

My daughter put a note on her door saying if anyone dared to knock and woke the baby she would string them up so if you were not invited or bringing gifts (postman!) then knock at your own peril... it put off the religious types, the sales dweebs and the random oddbods we get down here.

It's alo what I was happy about with twins that there's no chance I'll go to 40 weeks so my due date is redundant. However if one more person asks me when my c-section or induction date is I will slap them! There is no reason why the babies need to come out so they will keep cooking in there until they're ready to see the world!

Had to have a conversation with OH about MIL on Saturday. She rang in the morning to say they "might" come over, to which OH said that we both had plans so we probably wouldn't be in. When I came home late afternoon, I pulled up outside my house and, I'm not even exaggerating, at exactly the same time their car pulled up. They had waited for one of us to come home! I'm livid! Who does that? We said we'd be out! I ended up having a full blown anxiety attack and crying for an hour because of how ambushed and trapped they make me feel. MIL had got me a small bunch of flowers and a mothers day card so I couldn't even turn them away without sounding ungrateful (and FWIW her getting me those made me feel so uncomfortable. I found it wrong of her to think she should be the one to do that, if anything it's OH's job. My mum knows those kinds of gestures from anyone but OH make my skin crawl so it hadn't even crossed her mind)

Ended up telling OH that unnanounced/uninvited visits are off limits, regardless of who it is, and if ANYONE, including his mother, comes over unnanounced when the twins are here, I will not be answering the door, and he accepted that :T (been reading a lot of DWIL Nation on Babycentre so I'm finally growing a backbone!)

Ugh that's stress you don't need Lulu. It's emotional blackmail when you've given a polite excuse and they turn up with gifts so you feel bad for saying no. I've started ignoring texts and calls after politely saying I just want to relax and no-one seems to take the hint, assuming coffee with just them will be fine, parents and MILs feel they are an exception to the rule but often they are the most stressful. It does mean they then call more often prosumming I'm in labour. Stand your ground, your not being unreasonable. I understand they are excited but suffocating you is not the way to go about things. Glad your OH is backing you up.

That's a late night and early start, can your OH not help with any? Chippy for dinner? Although might be a costly option! Is it not worth picking your little one up to put them in the buggy just so you have a leaning post? Suppose that might cause more tears than worth it. Can't imagine how stressful it must be with other children to deal with as well as your tummy friend causing pains.

I can't lift her!! She is only just 2.5 but absolutely massive.. average 4 y/o size!

My son is here to watch the 2 of them (my 4 y/o is playing in the other room.

They have been up since 5am.. as usual!

I only do 4 school runs a week.. 2 on Monday and 2 on Tuesday while my OH is at college and I know if I say anything to him he would quit and it is so close to the end and I really want him to finish it.. bloody timings of this baby are a pita! So I will not let him know.

Same dash about tomorrow too.. my 5 y/o has her ice skating lesson at 6pm.. so again need to be fed and out by 5.. I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

I am counting down the weeks but while the actual weeks go quickly the number left seems to be very slow moving! .. next milestone.. they break ip for easter on the 23rd March for 2 whole weeks.. I cannot wait!!

Cross posting from the 12-24 thread just in case anyone answers.

I'm 20 wks today and have yet to feel baby move, but I am plus size (size 20) so not too worried yet. But today I've had the odd prickly like pain lower right side of belly and then up a bit higher. Could this be baby? Or something else?

I didn't feel him until about week 22 and then it was just little flutters quite low down which I would only notice if I was concentrating on it. Now at 26 weeks he is kicking and punching like a good un and makes sure I am aware of it, plus the movements are starting to feel more near my belly button now (I am size 14).

I was told it depends on where your placenta is also. I was always unsure if flutters I felt were baby or just general feelings but looking back they must have been baby. I remember the midwife asking about movement I would always say I think so but could be gas lol. They'll get to a point soon there will be no mistaking the thumps, don't worry! I'm the same size btw...well, on a good day haha.
