Thanks for all the well wishes for my mother in law
Thankfully the lump she found in her armpit is scar tissue from her previous cancer. It has shown up as she's lost so much weight. Last update was they were pumping black stuff out of her, but she's been able to keep some fluids down and obviously on a drip.
My father in law has confirmed he will stay with DS and the dog when I go into labour, so feeling calmer now!
It's my first day of maternity leave tomorrow! Putting my out of office on was great  Got the crib and car seat sorted at the weekend, need to pick up next weekend as had to order in, but glad to have done that. Got an amazing bargain in mamas and papas for two car seats and a base. I didn't get the Chico next to me crib in the end as saw it and it felt flimsy and I didn't like the look for £150, so have ordered a nice swinging crib instead.
Mine and little lady's hospital bags are packed as well, so feel calmer. Half hoping I'll be induced so I have her before Xmas.
Rambo - that's great news about he placenta :T
First time mummy - welcome and congratulations :cool:0 -
Hi Everyone,
Apologies for having been AWOL for sometime. Hope all is fine with you. I start maternity leave in 7 working days and am frantically trying to finish projects/get them into a reasonable state for handover, which is somewhat stressful! Have got awful rib pain too.... my midwife said it should ease when the baby's head drops. How are you getting on with names?
BW,

Welcome LittleMoog
Had some serious braxton hicks in the early hours of this morning. Was trying to decide if her head was engaging or labour was starting! Obviously it wasn't labour, but they were seriously uncomfortable :eek:0 -

Hello to everyone and welcome to the new ladies. Hope everyone's ok today?
Things have stepped up a bit for us, had another growth scan last week and they are now even more concerned about baby's size (too small) and also thought that my waters may have gone!! So they got me straight on a monitor to check baby's heartbeat etc, did an amnisure to find out one way or another about the waters and then gave me my first steroid injection. Then I had to go home, get some stuff for a 48hr stay so I could go back for my 2nd steroid injection and then have my blood levels monitored every 2 hours.
So it's looking likely that baby will be delivered early, it's just a matter of how early now.0 -

Gosh snowball - what a time. I hope everything is ok for you and little one. At least they've caught everything ad put things in place.0

Blimey snowball, hope all is ok. Wouldn't you have known if your waters had gone? Or can the body absorb them? X0

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help add me to the list? I just use my phone for Internet and with all the colour and number codes I was a bit confused - didn't want to mess it up! I'm due 14th March, don't know the sex of the baby. Thanks!0
