Oh no rambosmum
hope you find something quickly! Everything happens at the worst times.
When i was pregnant with ds my car broke down at 39 weeks and 5 days!! Had to have recovery home.
Had a bad night last night, i was up being sick all night. Not sure if it was pregnancy related or something else, but heart burn was hurting too, so ive sent dh to get some more g4viscon!!
Hope everyone else is feeling well xxStill here..... but working on that!0 -

Morning all.
Have been a bit quiet as we just got back from a few days in Iceland which was amazing, and then spent the weekend decorating so pretty pooped now. Hope everyone is doing well.
Hope your get something soon rambosmum. These things always happen at the worst times.
Hi frozen penguin. Good to see one of my due date buddies over here!
Diamond orchid, hope the physio helps with the pain.
Catch up properly later. Just going to trawl through a weeks worth of emails.0 -
That sounds yucky littleskintdragon - hope you are feeling better today. So it's so hard to distinguish between being ill and pregnancy related stuff isn't it! Either way, I hope everything is ok. And the heartburn is horrendous isn't it, I'm chewing on gaviscon and swigging chocolate milkshake, which is funny as it's what my mum survived on with me!
Devildolly, Iceland is somewhere I've always wanted to go, was it amazing? Do you think it would be doable with a baby? (thinking maybe next year before my mat leave finishes).
Bought a car on Sunday - a very family friendly Honda Jazz - no where near as much fun as my Golf turbo diesel. We even part exed my old one. Very sad though as my old one had a nice bit of history. Needs must though.
I ended up in maternity assessment last night due to bleeding. Was very scary. Bleeding was tiny though, but I panicked a bit, and I'm not a panicker. They were lovely though, had to have an examination and some anti-d. It really stings, I'm not bad with needles or anything but it stings when they push the liquid in, rather than the needle. Off work today and tomorrow - work advised this rather than the hospital! Had a bit of a stressful week, bit of a row with OH, car issues, work and over-doing the DIY probably didn't help so I'm going to take it a bit easier. OH was really good, you could see he was clearly really worried but he remained calm, just bundled me in the car.0 -
Rambosmum, sounds like you need a few days just to chill out. Glad all is OK, but must have been scary.
Iceland is one of the best places I have been. If I go back (and I will), I would definitely hire a car. It only takes an hour or so to get to most of the places you would want to visit, and the roads are really safe and easy to navigate. I could see it being very doable with a baby, but maybe go in the summer. It was 5-7C when we were there, but felt much colder as it was sunny, rainy, windy all at the same time and changes really quickly. Our hotel room actually had a small kitchen so if not BF, this would be handy for preparing bottles in advance.
I highly recommend blue lagoon, a natural hot spring in the lava fields where you can just bob about in a massive milky blue lagoon of 38C water, relax with some natural silica mud mask, then either grab a drink from the swim up bar or pop your dressing gown on and go have dinner in the plush restaurant. Bliss!0 -
rambosmum glad everything was ok. I would panic too! Actually i'd be like a mad crazy woman and probably!!
devildolly glad you enjoyed, iceland sounds lovely!

So everyone was saying to me that they thought my baby would be early, I was hoping they were right and they were but have to say that I do regret that wishing she would come early as we have not had an easy few weeks!
Our daughter was born on 24th September after my 36 wk check up found out I had pre eclampsia. Induction followed by 30 hour labour followed by emergency c section - not how we envisioned it at all! We were in hospital for 2 weeks in total as she was jaundiced and not feeding and due to my pre eclampsia. Finally home now, she is feeding well and we are starting to adjust to life with a newborn!:o0 -
Congratulations Cath_Ster. Sounds traumatic!0
