Hope everything's OK nattykins. One of my best friends went to an antenatal class a few weeks before her due date and mentioned that she'd been incredibly itchy all the way through her pregnancy; she got sent for bloods there and then which came up positive for obstetric cholestasis and got admitted and induced that day! Glad they're taking you seriously and are getting it checked out.

Ooooh, very excitig ashtray heart, keep us updated!

AFM - I had a consultant appointment this AM due to baby constantly measuring big. She measured me again, laughed and said "yes...very big baby" It's a good job I'm keeping pretty calm about it all otherwise that could've set me off! So I've got an ASAP growth scan booked for Friday at 31 weeks, and I'm going back to see her again next Wednesday. They're also a little worried about my platelet count as although it's above dangerously low levels, it's decreased more than they would want since my booking appt. Oh and I have active lymphocytes in my blood which suggests my body is fighting something...but she didn't really seem to know what! Oh AND I've been referred to physio as my stomach muscles are separating at a painfully alarming rate - joys! So I've been prodded, poked, measured etc to get to the same point I was before going in: baby is big! Should know more after Friday though :)

Hope everyone is doing well x

Why did it make you change your mind Nattykins? I wanted a water birth first time but wasn't to be

The room reminded me of the sensory room of the school I work at, the room was a bit of a dumping ground and I know this sounds weird, but the room didn't feel right.

Thats what I've had the blood tests for. The itching is driving me crazy, it just doesn't stop!!!! It gets worse at night, especially as I can't distract myself. I did have a good night sleep last night (from 11am to 5:30am) but I think it was because I had a bath using the bath stuff the doc gave me before I went to bed, and loaded my feet and hands up with the cream.

Was also wondering- did any of you get any strong instincts while you were pregnant? As in, I knew I was pregnant before I took a test and I knew I was having a boy. I now feel like I won't make it to my due date.

So had my 38/40 mw appt yesterday, apparently he is now 3/5 engaged, so getting there and definately feeling the braxton hicks lower down now! no other signs though that might be on his way yet.

Anymore signs from you ashtray heart?

Hope you get answers about your itching nattykins, must be very frustrating!

Been decorating the nursery today, finally feels like a proper room :) Now need to get pram and car seat out of their boxes and work out how to use them...... xx

Contractions are 20mins apart lasting 30 seconds. I'm not getting too hopeful yet in case they stop. Had back ache all day and period style cramps but proper contractions started at about 2pm. Fingers crossed this is it.
  • Quick update. Everything stopped but my results from last midwife appointment show I have preeclampsia so being induced in next few days and in hospital until then. Will be in hospital for 5 days afterwards so will probably be quiet for a while.

Hi everyone! I'm 24 weeks today and moving up from the other thread. I have a DD (who's 5 on Monday!) and am expecting another girl on 11/09. Will update the list shortly.

Hope everybody's pregnancies are going well. Good luck with the induction Ashtray Heart.

Did anybody get Braxton Hicks this early on? I don't remember having any with DD but I've been noticing for a week or two now that my bump will go rock hard and uncomfortable for a minute or two whenever I'm out walking. Does that sound like BH's or something else?

Ok, have attempted to update the list and have failed miserably! Can't seem to get the formatting in, so would appreciate if somebody in the know could add me when they get a second!
