Good Luck ashtray heart ! it might not be much fun in hospital but I always find that when I am in there I know that I am being looked after and that I don't need to think about anything other than myself and baby (no shopping, cooking, cleaning etc) so you are definitely in the best place.
Have updated the list with a name for my little man - it only took 10 days of him being "baby no-name!" but he is now Elliot0 -

Copied this from my post on vbac group.i had a successful home water birth on wed 13th May. At 2.03pm I gave birth to Elliott Michael Fox, weighing 9lbs 2oz. Birth story- woke up wed 5am felt need to go toilet, when I did part of mucus plug fell into toilet and when I wiped there was more mucus. Went back to bed, as I was getting into bed felt a trickle of my waters. Laid down and thought I could prob get more sleep but couldn't. Husband woke 5.30am and asked if I was alright told him what had happened, he thought I was winding him up at first. Left toddler in bed and snuck downstairs git breakfast, started tidying etc. Was feeling a few contractions, got more regular started timing, rang maternity helpline to inform them that I was home birth lady etc. They said someone would call me back. Contractions were about every 4 mins for 50 secs got tens on. Toddler picked up by mother in law. Sent husband out for bananas just needed some lol 45 mins later no call from a community midwife as I had been promised, just about to chase it when there was a knock at door. 2 midwifes had arrived to support me. Husband arrived back with bananas. Contractions were getting more regular and longer. Coped by hyponobirthing, counting meditations and tens on all fours. Midwifes asked me in between contractions about previous csection etc and current birthplan. I was asked if student midwife could attend, I agreed. Husband started to blow pool up. I was getting to max on tens at this point and was getting urge to get in pool. Contractions were every 3 mins lasting about a minute. Stopped timing at this point.Husband had started filling pool, got in pool about 10-10.30. Asked for no vaginal examinations so have no idea re dilation. Laboured in pool, felt 2nd waters go, ate and drank where possible. All mine and baby monitoring was normal. Was difficult at one point when I felt things were just going on and on but reminded myself I was coping with contractions. In time started to feel need to push husband sat on stool at side of pool with his back to me and I gripped his hands through contractions. Was pushing for an hour during this time they asked me to get out of water to empty bladder as they felt baby's descent may be slowed by this (hadn't weed since 9am). I couldn't void though but I went through a couple of contractions standing up out of water and felt gravity helped with pushing. Continued to push in pool and felt more hope when babies head was seen, then half was out, very difficult to get all the way out and it took a lot of effort but when it came out I felt relieved. Midwife said one more push at next contraction and baby would come out completely. I put all my effort in and it worked baby came out I caught baby and discovered it was a boy, very happy elated. Had a couple of mins in pool and then i got out to deliver placenta with injection as I had agreed to minimise risk of bleeding. Baby stayed with me as much !!! possible during process. Placenta came within 20 mins. Baby Elliott breastfed very well. Midwifes were unsure if I had a 2nd or 3rd degree tare so ambulance was called to transport me into hospital. Still hadn't weed, tried again but couldn't go agreed to catheter which was inserted. Nearly fainted a few times trying to get downstairs to ambulance but managed to walk it. Cons in hospital said just a 2nd degree which she stitched, used gas and air for pain relief which I was grateful for. Catheter removed and I managed to wee so allowed home. Got home about 9am via the chippy :0) so pleased, proud, amazed at what I achieved and the difference in my recovery and health of baby Elliott.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150

Sorry about my epic birth story post I am too lazy to find the correct thread. This second birth was following a emergency csection for my first born due to failure to progress, any ladies who hope for a vaginal birth following csection, you can do it!:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150

That is a fab story. I am hoping for a vbac and also had failure to progress last time so is great to hear other people have done it. Glad all is well with you and Elliott!0

Baby Cordelia was born at 38 weeks at 10.26pm on 23rd May weighing 6lb9oz following an induction due to pre-eclampsia. She was back to back and in distress after a long labour so was delivered with the help of forceps. She spent a couple of hours in SCBU but is fine. We both need to spend 5 days in hospital but doing well. She has mastered latching on and is a good feeder although a bit impatient if she can't latch on straight away.0
