    Congrats to Ashtray heart :)

and hello to the newbies :)

Can't believe I'm now top of the list. No signs though that he will be making any appearences yet. Had regular regular braxton hicks for past week or so but nothing stronger. Been bouncing on the exercise ball, did a full food shop in morrisons yesterday (hoped the walking would trigger things!) and lots of cleaning the house but no signs!
He is now properly engaged I think though, as feeling a lot more comfortable breathing and eating - Claire_A87 it really is a relief when it drops down!

Thank you for adding me to the list. Will leave it as a girl for now, although for us it doesn't make much difference as we aren't really 'pink' people anyway so shopping won't really be affected depending what flavour we eventually end up with!
11 weeks now until I finish work and I cannot wait. Is this realistic for a job where I am on my feet 7.30am-5.30pm? I have already had to drop down to working a 4 day week instead of 5 days. Just wondering if anyone else has experience of doing quite a physical job and wondering when they ended up finishing work

Glad all went well at your appointment Muso - so nice hearing the heartbeat.

Great news the baby isn't as big as thought Claire, bet that is a relief.

Hippi - i am doing same as you, lots of cleaning and bouncing haha.

Katy - I do an office job and finished at 37 weeks with my first and 36 weeks this time and was ready at that point. Is hard to know how you will feel. Can you bring your leave forward if you start to struggle?

Hippi I hope it all goes well!

Wendz, I think I can bring my leave forward. I work in a cafe and so am on my feet all day with only half an hour break so my legs and feet are swelling already. Also it is so HOT! Just wondering about my size as I am already struggling to reach tables to wipe them etc!

Tomorrow I have a growth scan. I know it will be fine but as I tend to carry breeches it will be good to use the scan as a base to check she is still head down like last time!

Hope your scan goes ok Rebekah. I've had 2 growth scans now at 25 and 31 weeks & they've both been fine, & baby is head down :) I love seeing all their little measurements going up!

  • Thanks everyone for the congratulations. We are finally home from hospital. Struggling with lack of sleep and sore breasts but we will settle in to some sort of routine eventually.

Lots of lansinoh ahstray heart and the pain does stop, hope you get some rest.

Hope the scan goes well Rebekah.

Had the health visitor over this afternoon. She just went through breastfeeding, preventing cot death etc and told me when clinics are. Spoke to her a bit about my break up and she was nice about it so at least they know.

Hi all, still no sign of baby yet!

Good to know what the HV visit is about Wendz - have mine coming over tomorrow and I had no idea why she was coming really, until my midwife arranged it last week I thought you didnt see the HV until after the baby was born!

Katy I would see how things go with work, I worked in A+E til 36/40, so on feet all day (stopped night shifts at 28wks though!), but I did have a wobble at 34wks were I got very dehydrated and ended up on a drip overnight - made me realise my reserve was a lot less than I expected, so do takes things easier if you can, cut down the hours, take more regular breaks etc.

    Good luck with scan Rebekah

Congratulations to those of you that have had your babies, the list does look rather small now. We shall have to start a recruitment campaign!

Welcome to all the new joiners.

I've been MIA recently as we had a week all inclusive in turkey. I was 26-27 weeks, still only had a small bump and felt really well. Would recommend that everyone gets in a week of relaxation pre baby!
Then it was my brothers wedding at the weekend and I was making the cake so that kept me busy and off MSE. I was lucky to be able to wear a normal dress that still fitted me and only looked pregnant from the side. Bump literally appeared the next morning and seems to be rapidly growing. Today I knocked into someone as I forgot about my extra width!

Hope everyone is well and babies are ticking along nicely.

    X x
