Have sorted out baby clothes have brought n sorted the tiny/new born up to 7.5lb and the new born/up to 1 mth 9-10lb into 2 piles n popped in chest drawers. Think need a few up to 7.5lb new born sleepsuits so will get a pk 3 in sains or asda but don't want to many in case big baby n have loadddsss of the next sz. All 0-3mth is washed n it ironed n in a plastic box with lid.
Hospital bag is out of cupboard n has maternity towels n a nursing nightdress in for me n 3 sleepsuits n 3 vests for baby n 3 hats - will get more sorted with that having section so in a few days but can send husband home with washing n a list of bits to bring back.0 -
sounds like you're pretty well organised Freebiequennie, I didn't expect my little one to be so petite so didn't really have enough tiny baby outfits and absolutely no new born. Thankfully a friend turned up last week with some her baby had outgrown which saved Amelia from flapping around in her 0-3 mth sleepsuits lol0

I remember from ds that even at nearly 8lb we needed a few tiny baby bits n they were 5/6lb weight one's as I didn't like the baggy look not very mse as only worn couple weeks0

Congrats Sewit
Freebie you are so organised, we have baby clothes all over the place and need to put it away but the need to sort it again into sizes and also quality as mostly second hand. Are you using a proper bag for hospital? I don't think I have one big enough, would it be odd turning up with a suitcase??!
Did your work colleagues do anything nice for your last day?
Northern glad you have a date sorted
Time flies hope visitors aren't too stressful
We went to a nct nearly new sale today and picked up a few bits. Also bought stuff for hospital bag though still 9 week til due date.
My belly button seems to have completely disappeared, anyone else had this?!0 -
My last day we were doing an event so spent most day teaching meeting them next week for lunch I had some flowers n babygro for baby n little gift for ds.
Clothes wise anything second hand I brought in bundles n sorted at the time as am v fussy n charity shopped anything I didn't want
Anything new has been hung in wardrobe in size order (bit ocd)
Muslins all washed n ironed in folded into a wicker basket as are bibs n socks n hats and once have got a book shelf for nursery baskets will sit on that.0 -
My hospital bag is a holdall medium sized from Sainsbury brought for when had ds n been used loads since for weekends away.0

Tia, I have 2 bags for hospital, both holdalls. One contains my things, changes of pjs, clothes, underwear cosy socks, light dressing gown, pack of breast pads, loads of maternity pads, cereal bars, energy drinks, sports juice bottle (might be easier to drink from than their glasses depending on how mobile I am), and anything else I think I might need. The other that will wait in car until baby arrives and then hubby can bring it in has all baby's things, nappies, cotton wool, Muslins, vests, baby grows, jacket for coming home, hats, scratch mitts, blanket, and probably other things I've forgotten. I've also popped some small cartons of fruit juice in there aswell for me as I'm sure I'll need them.
It's something hard to plan for as we just don't know how long we will be there for, could be a few hours after baby arrives to a week. Yes we can get things taken home/brought in but I'd rather be prepared than not!No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -

Jack Idris was born by emergency caesarian section, at 3:05am on Tuesday 14th October 2014 after 22 hours of labour. Weighing in at 3.64kg (or 8lbs in old money), he has one club foot, a love of skin-on-skin and wasn't fazed by a fairly traumatic meant-to-have-been home birth.
However I am glad I got to labour at home in the pool for 5-6 hours as otherwise I suspect there would have been a lot of to and fro instead of straight in...
Just back from hospital today.
We had quite a lot of sex in the days running up to my show on Sunday 12th. Was the only thing I did to bring on labour.
Completely exhausted, tearful but we are loving getting to know him even though we are mental with no sleep.
Off to stab my stomach with a post op med to thin my blood.
Will be posting a birth story - started but not finished. It is 22 hours!Met DH to be 2010
