I keep getting "Really you are 24 weeks?! ......well that's 6 months....oh you ARE very small"
Just want to shout at them SHUT UP. my mum was in her normal size 10s until 6 months and then by time brother was born gained 3 stone so I am FULLY expecting to pop in the next few weeks. And even then I am quite obviously pregnant and its only my first!!
ARGH!
Hold on a min, it is sounding like this whole Stork thing is not real?! I have 15 weeks to prove otherwise....he HAS to be real
Pain all stopped after another time that went across so I am guessing baby was trying to lie sideways lol and that is why it hurt so much. But been very active the last few days, although still thinking some of it is in my head.
Off to the midwife In half an hour, love listening to heartbeatSadly also need to book in a GTT and Anti-D so the heartbeat will make that all slightly better lol x x x
Hope all are ok xxOfficial DFD: Dec 29Challenge DFD: July 23Debts Cleared: 1/13Building EF: £20/£600 3%0 -

Sorry for lack of updates, I'm much better at keeping up with the facebook group
I too keep getting people telling me how small I am. It's very annoying. The midwife measures me bang on for how many weeks I am (last time was 28 cm at 28 weeks) but I've kind of spread out sideways rather than outwards. Everyone is convinced it's a girl for that reason. But I wish they'd all just !!!!!! off. I know my bump is small but it's perfectly healthy.
Luckily I haven't had problems with anyone touching the bump apart from very close friends who know I'd be ok with it, but if random people/workmates/strangers started doing it they'd get their hands slapped pretty quickly.
I've been having (what I assume must be) a few braxton hicks today for the first time, very odd feeling I must say but not painful at all.
I finished our nursery at the weekend, it looks lovely, just needs my husband to put some shelves in the build in wardrobe which he'll do this weekend and then when the new tumble dryer is delivered on Monday I'm going to start washing all the baby clothes and blankets/towels etc people have given us.
Just as well the nursery is done as I am turning into a cripple. I'm not sure if it's related to my "old" back pain or if it's SPD but it's all one sided, in my left buttock/hip and going down into my leg, I can't put any weight on it and can barely walk half the time, I'm like a little old lady. A lovely bloke at work spotted me on the street struggling back from Tesco at lunchtime yesterday and came sprinting up the road to take my shopping bags off me, bless himeveryone at work is being very nice and getting me drinks and looking on my desk as they pass to see if I have any rubbish they can put in the shredder/bin for me to save me getting up. I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow and physio on Friday but suspect I'll either end up signed off or going on maternity leave sooner rather than later even though I really don't want to.

Oh freshstart I wish I'd seen that earlier on in pg! I mostly used a blocking body language e.g. bag over my shoulder, arm across bump to reach strap so people would have to move my arm or ask me. When I announced my pg at work I also announced no touching! My bump is small to the extent they sent me for a growth scan. I'm over comments on it now.
Freebiequeenie - I cannot get my head round being pg and having a child. Respect! (quite apart from the fact you work also)
Angeltreats - sorry to hear about the spd
Ugh Mrs C for crap day and respect for sorting the furniture.
AFM went to sling library on tuesday with NCT which was really interesting and there was a real nappy lady there too so that was dead helpful. In the evening we went to cinema to see live broadcast of streetcar. V good. There was a sceene where heavily pg Stella gets thumped by her husband and goes into premature labour. DH reached out to put his hand on bump and said afterwards it made him feel reassured that our little one was safe and sound.
Last day at work tomorrow la la. However this also means my mother sees this as a reason to see my every week  got so many jobs to do like finish nursery, wash, fill freezer etc that am terrified she is going to suck away all my free time.
For example this Friday I have to do shopping in town, mw at 1pm, haircut and colour at the local college at 2.30pm
wedding all day Saturday
small claims court hearing against our roofer on Monday with lazy daisy in the evening
tuesday is just a lazy daisy couples class in the evening
wednesday our oven is getting delivered at some point and out for a meal with work in the evening
thursday is meeting a friend half way along the M4 and back for hydro in the evening
mum on friday
friends for a kind of baby shower (not the gift kind, just saying goodbye until xmas!) on Sunday
Where is there time to do house chores let alone all my daytime TV watching!?
And I have at 2 new babies to visit, plus fancy seeing friend who works 4 days a week.

Carpets down, our room put back together, baby's room wallpapered and sticksarounds on, cotbed put together (to be finished tomorrow after a right good scrub and the wood glue has dried as a bit of it split when we tightened the screws), car seat out of box, now just to wonder where to put everything that needs to be shipped from the dining room back up into there as there's just no space for it!!!No longer ...tobe! Lol, I did a lot of supervising in all that! DH has put some things back where they were but he doesn't realise that they're going in the loft tomorrow when he's at work. We've had a pair of skis and poles in the corner unused for nearly two years due to lack of time and snow and I'm not looking at them anymore!
I'll be doing that in between my mw appt, going to the dump with old carpet, getting my hair whacked off since it's doing my head in, trying to make dinner, going to work to pick up something, and whatever else I need to do. And this is meant to be me signed off and taking it easy!No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -

The use of supervisory skills only impresses me further...high five to you.
Yes MrsC that is exactly what i mean about days being filled up! My mother, despite being a SAHM for many years (over 20) seems to have completely forgotten this. That or because it was for so long, she only remembers the tedious drudgery whereas I have my last day at work today and looking forward to time for drudgery. Figure I will save all my town chores for when she comes...Met DH to be 2010
