  • Aldi have in a maternity dress n leggings from thurs and nursing bras and a nursing dress also loads baby stuff as its baby event.
  • Today I want to cry. I bought some nursing bras from eBay nice and cheap. Got them in my current size (wearing with extenders) as I'd have a 2.5 hour plus round trip to get measured. Hoping when baby finally heads south and my ribs go back a big that I can ditch the extenders.
I've opened the packet and can't hear to look at them as they as seriously unflattering. I've never ever worn a non wired bra and have managed through pregnancy with normal bras just changing size as I need to.

  • Mrs C - yes they are disgusting aren't they :( Hey by the time you are wearing one you'll be too tired to care.

    Thanks freebiequeenie

:j Sewit :T for growth scan! I have used annual leave to do 4 days weeks from 30-34; 3 days weeks 35-36 and then off from 37. It has worked well for me as I am still getting out of the house but still got time with bub afterwards without going crazy in the meantime. I am lucky work is flexible.

Jeez Sewit and LT - sisters seem hard work. My brothers are just disinterested. Although middle one did text me last month to see how things were going which was a surprise.

Ali - are you getting an elective c-section, or do you hope to have a 'natural' birth? If you can't have gas and air what can you get? Hope your last week at work flies by!

To be honest I'm just going with what the 'professionals' think is the best option, I am torn in asking for an elective c-section or just going naturally as both have their own pitfalls but with everything in place I'm feeling quite at ease with everything that's been discussed and know they've got our best interests at heart.

I was a bit concerned that I stopped seeing an obstetric consultant for my CMT and went under the Diabetic Consultant but diabetes trumps neurological condition apparently.

I can have everything else as in pethidine, morphine, etc but a different mix than normal for the epidural if I have one although in an emergency situation whatever needs to happen will be done.

Oh Mrs C sorry you're upset about the bra's. I completely understand how ugly they are and there's just no support whatsoever either. I made a special trip to Cheshire Oaks to go to the Elle outlet there and managed to find 4 that are pretty decent but the staff were really unhelpful so in a couple of weeks I'll be paying full price to be measured as in Elle they just told me to get my normal size.... I also had to buy extenders too.

Woke up feeling quite yucky today but dragged my sorry *rse in. I've pretty much not got any work to keep me occupied now so hurry up Wednesday when I can 'work' from home :rotfl:.

Last Monday done for a while, only 4 days left :j:j:j:j

Sorry if I've missed anything but hugs for everyone xx

Congats BlueBell, glad feeding is going well, but ouch for the tear. Is 1st degree the worst level?

No, it's the least bad! I didn't need any stitches but it's just been a challenge to find any way to sit without putting pressure on that bit! Pleased to say everything is feeling much better today :T
  • Sew you are so good to reply to everyone....I forget everything lol

Mrs c bras are so ugly. Debenhams had a sale on and I bought two in my size for £6 which I thought would do but they are quite nice.

There are some on wauwa and there's a discount code of £20or£30 off a £50 spend.
  • I got Miriam Stoppard one's last time and they are nice enough and hoping will be enough SAME sz this time first couple weeks boobs are huge until milk in n supply settles down.

I got Emma Jayne sleep nursing bras and sometimes wore in the day as so comfy think Nikon is cheapest for them especially if find a 10-15% off code

Thanks for all the comments about movement. Think I will mention it in a few weeks when I see the midwife, but as he is moving I don't think it is anything major.

Freshstart I get pains by my ribs on the right hand side and my bump feels hard on that side, I am guessing its the baby but definitely painful if it is and they wedge themselves in strange positions.

SewIt that's good if you can shorten your week. Quite envious of those starting maternity leave soon in some ways, though also means a baby will arrive soon after so maybe not that jealous! Glad the growth scan went well.

MrsC sorry to hear you were disappointed with the bras. I like the look of the ones in mothercare though they don't come cheap.

alioops enjoy the last few days at work

I feel shattered already and only 26 weeks, got 11 more weeks until I finish work! Also feeling incredibly irritable for no real reason, hopefully will get a better nights sleep and feel less grumpy tomorrow

just had the worst pain up my left side, hip to rib. No idea what it was at all but never had it before. Not sure if could have been baby but really made me squeal x :(

this could be round ligament pain? I used to get this quite a lot and then found out my wee one is currently breech and thus I was getting more pain where her feet were pushing at my side. Hoping you feel better now.

Mrs C I know what you mean about bras, I swapped to non underwire and they make things look er, not as pert and they're not that bonnie to look at either!

tia86 I found movement was off and on up to up about 25 or 28 weeks. Now I feel regular, it scared me quite a bit and I ended up at the midwifes having the baby's heart heard a few times. If you're concerned at all you should definitely speak to your midwife. There won't be a midwife in the land who wouldn't listen to you. You may find in a few weeks that movement will become more regular and you'll definitely see a pattern.

Ali Yay for 4 days left! Really not long now at all x :T

Sewit glad the scan went really well. It's always lovely walking out of the room with a smile on your face this wide :D

Oh and the 'sisters' thing... I always felt a bit enviable when I heard about the great relationships sisters had with each other. Of course I love mine and would do anything for her, but there is a huge history of one-upmanship/womanship? :) not from my side, I don't point score off people, nil interest... don't get it myself but hey ho..... sisters can be a strange fruit!

Hi to everyone else, hope you're all doing well...

does anyone keep forgetting there is an actual birth to get through? ... yup I do !!:rotfl:

I'm exactly the same with getting hard lump on the right and pain, don't the kids know that feet in our ribs/lungs are not conducive to a happy mummy :rotfl:

Thanks, can't keep the grin off my face now. What do you mean we have to give birth, isn't there something that happens with a Stork??? :rotfl:

All became a bit more real to hubby that we're having a child when he built the cot bed yesterday, as if my growing belly was just a bad case of bloating for the last few months :rotfl:
