Just ordered the Joie Gemm car seat including Isofix base and free delivery for £79.99 from Simply a Baby. I was originally ordering it from Kiddie Kingdom for £84.95 but they decided that because I live in the Scottish Highlands I had to pay £19.95 for delivery when it is free delivery elsewhere!!!! With no other delivery option!
I won't be ordering from Kiddie Kingdom in a hurry!No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
I'm feeling more normal (not so pathetic, fragile and lethargic) now I've been on the iron tablets for a few days. I've changed my seat settings in my car this evening, to try and sit without my thighs encroaching on baby.
So glad you are feeling better Timeflies.
How do your thighs encroach on the baby? My bump sits on my thighs now in the car but can't see how I would make that any better other than sitting with my legs so far apart they wouldn't touch the pedals :rotfl:
I have trouble laughing these days and catching my breath.
 alioops for your parents coming for new year. I feel like I know what you mean. We are incredibly lucky to be having our little mr man but if someone offered a free surrogacy I would not be saying no!
lemontree - has your sister has kids? If not I spy revenge in the future...
Thanks freebiequeenie - going to get them today
:j Bluebell - thanks also for posting home birth story (and so quickly!) Off to read it now.
AFM managed to do house sorting out yesterday and some washing which took until lunchtime. Stopped for lunch, had a nap and at 4pm then charged round town doing chores etc, walked from there to the hospital for hydro, then stopped off for treat time at M&S as have my lovely oz friends over for lunch today with their just over 3 month old so got some things in for lunch. Got back at 8pm, started dinner and DH got back in at quarter past from an open evenings to help with the end of it. I got 'woozy' in that my eyes felt funny and my head felt swimmy. Didn't help DH had got us up at 5.30am but had thought the nap would help.
As a result got a lovely 8 and a half hours sleep last night with only 2 loo breaksMet DH to be 2010

lilmiss, my sister has 4 kids and I was nice when she had those, never once made fun of her, I shall just make sure she gets some very smelly nappies to change - although she already owes me for all the nappies etc I did for her kids when they were little. lol
had another uncomfortable evening and night last night, think I may just attempt to go to sleep in the bathroom I spend so much time in there! Wish Little Miss would make up her mind and make an appearance - though part of me is thinking another couple of years before she arrives would be a good idea.0 -
Hi
I am 24w on Sunday......eeekkk so excited!! :eek::eek:
Quick question guys, as I have an anterior placenta most kicks I still doubt.
Has anyone else felt flicks/shock on bladder? I cant decide if baby is kicking. I am sure it is but no one else I know knows what I am talking about lol xxOfficial DFD: Dec 29Challenge DFD: July 23Debts Cleared: 1/13Building EF: £20/£600 3%0 -
I definitely have had kicks on my bladder, remember my 23 week scan, sat there for an extra hour waiting for it with the little bu99er jumping on my bladder the entire time. Think it was a sign of the times to come.0

I only feel it with a fuller bladder so makes me wonder some times. I am sure it is though as some times I feel it when not full and resting....xOfficial DFD: Dec 29Challenge DFD: July 23Debts Cleared: 1/13Building EF: £20/£600 3%0

Hi ladies
Spoke with the physio yesterday about the sleeping issue that I'm having (that lots of you are also experiencing too... ouchy) :-(
Anyway, turns out I sleep in the 'recovery' position, which may be reason for numb legs and ridiculous full leg cramping. Basically like this for those who aren't sure http://mumc.me.uk/memberInfo/recovery.gif
Apparently that is putting a lot of pressure on the leg that is holding up the body weight. Physio suggested I try lying on my side with knees bent and a pillow (or two) between my knees and one at my ankles, to try and keep knees together as much as possible. She also suggested that I put a duvet or blanket underneath my side that is lying on the bed, and a folded up handtowel under bump if I felt I needed (I didn't do the last part).
Seemed to work a treat last night... think I managed at least 5 hours sleep, which was amazing compared to waking up every 45 mins!
Just thought I would pass on in case anyone also sleeps in recovery and they might want to try... wish I had tried this weeks ago...let's see how long it lasts!
Hugs to everyone who needs them this week... definitely scary when you see how fast we're all progressing up the list!
Here's to a healthy, happy chillaxed weekend... and to those with new babbas... lots of cuddles and not so much crying... xx0 -
I'm sick of saying that I'm going to the toilet, it seems to be the most said sentence ever over these last couple of weeks lol.
Really am not feeling prepared at all to meet our little girl but only one more week in work and then I can sort through all of the clothes and wash them etc. Still need to sort out our bags and sort stuff out at home.
Essentially told hubby that any spare time we have is to be spent sorting and selling until it's all done as there's only 7 weeks to go and I hate to think that we'd wasted the time now.
Met with an Anaesthetic Consultant yesterday due to my condition and she's written up a plan of what would need to used 'drug mix' wise in the event of a c-section and also put in my notes no Gas & Air as unfortunately there is a risk of it being toxic to people with my condition so no point risking it. She did advise to have a look at a website called www.labourpains.com even if it was just to have a laugh at the video on there from around 1985.
Asked hubby if he felt better having a plan in place and he just said it was what he expected. Seriously if that guy ever gave me an honest answer I think I'd keel over with the shock.
LT very rude of your sister to make fun of you especially after she's had 4 kids. I admit I probably laughed at my sister when she was pregnant but I was also getting down on my hands and knees helping her try on new shoes at the same time lol.
I've had weird sensations in the groin region, it's like being tickled from the inside and the weirdest thing ever. I guess it's as she's now head down but by george it's strange and the tightenings aren't fun either. I don't know if I'm going to miss the movements once she's born or if I'll be glad lol.
Nothing like taking it easy lilmiss I'm not surprised you went a bit woozy after doing all that on a bad nights sleep but glad that you got a good sleep last night as I know it can make all the difference.
I also can't believe how out of breath I'm getting just by talking sometimes, not helpful when trying to explain things to new staff members.
Timeflies I'm also wondering what you mean by thighs encroaching??
I know it's a bit petty but after working in the same office for 5 years with pretty much the same people I thought that they'd at least remember it's my birthday tomorrow, but nope nothing at all. Doesn't bode well for when I finish next week, I guess I'll just be walking out of the office as if it was a normal Friday lol.
Anyways enough of my ramblings, have a great weekend ladies I'll pop on if I get the chance.DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D
