  • Just showed DH the bras (which I still didn't try on). They got a joking wolf whistle and he commented he just won't be able to resist me in them. He got a dig back along the lines of 'what the same way as now' since if I don't initiate anything there wouldn't be any 'marital relations' so to speak.

Ribs.....I can sympathise. For weeks now I've felt like mine at front right should be black and blue. Wish the stubborn one would move south out of them!

Movement.....any concerns at all and give the midwife or ward a call. This includes a sudden increase too as it may have become tangled and is trying to free itself. I ended up there with reduced movement and it was so reassuring to get the trace and another scan proving everything was alright. Infact, during the last scan while they tried to measure fluid it decided to grab the cord and wave it about at us!!!

Latest description of my neat bump.....you look like you've just eaten a big malteaser! Lol

  • Fair play to you MrsC - I am the one who is always too tired, or too uncomfortable or needing a wee part way through :o

    Malteaser :rotfl:

I get lots of indigestion pain in a band across my tummy and quite low down (presumably where he's kicked my digestive system to the floor). I get an internal ache, almost itch on walking in my groin. I get increasing frequency and intensity of period pains - been happening for past 2 weeks so it's either the slowest labour ever or just another delightful late pg symptom. Then of course there is reflux. 3 more days at work...

The closer I get to the birth the more I figure he's coming out one way or the other, like it or not and actually it's the post birth bit that's doing my head in!

Sewit - the worst is 4th degree

Alioops that's interesting that diabetes trumps CMT. Suppose that's the big baby chance hightened in pg that they are thinking about?

Right must get dressed for work

lol MrsC - love the malteaser comparison! My hubby thinks my bump looks like a beach ball! I saw some nice looking nursing bras in debenhams. Can you order on-line then return those that don't suit/fit?

Ouch lilmiss, 4th degree?! Do not want to know what that involves!!!

View - re sisters - amen to that, we are a weird breed! Like you, I would do anything for my sister, but could also happily strangle her too!!

Ali - I think its more real for my DH now too. He helped me sort out the baby clothes we got given the other day, not something I would have thought he'd have ever done. Then he said to me last night 'I'm ready to be a dad now, I'm really excited!' Didn't think I could love him more, that really melted my heart.
  • MrsC what can I say, I definitely misread what you'd written lol. Well done for continuing it's not something we've done for quite a few weeks, in fact can't remember the last time oops. Hopefully I'll get some more energy after I finish work :rotfl:

Luckily(?) I was already on tablets for heartburn/reflux so they were just changed to be ones that are suitable during pregnancy and I should be able to go back to my previous ones. I did try without them and just used Gaviscon but Gaviscon just didn't touch it at all.

I'm aware that the baby will come out down there but surely she will just slide out nicely right, RIGHT????? :rotfl:;)

I'm guessing that yes as there's more of an immediate risk to the baby with the diabetes that everything else will take a back seat. With my CMT it presented itself when I hit puberty so I'm guessing that if she does have it that's what will happen although we do have an appointment with a Genetic Counsellor in March already poor thing.

Sewit how sweet of your OH to say that, I would have been grinning like an idiot after something like that.

  • Anyone else having a crap day? Was up at 4 and didn't get back to sleep til after 8. Then dad decided to phone at 8.30 so I ignored that. Then MIL came into the house shouting to see if I was in at 11. I was in such a deep sleep. Since then I've been and met DH then shopping and have been having sweats. Felt like I could easily have passed out. Now lounging on the sofa trying to get comfy again. It's not happening!
And we've got a lot of furniture to move tonight for new carpets going down Tomorrow.

  • Sorry MrsC hugs for a crappy day.

Hope that things improve for you though and you get the furniture moved for the carpet fitters

  • Thanks alioops, job already started and I'm sitting with my feet on the birthing ball (not quite sure that's how it's meant to be used lol) and we'll get the rest done when DH comes home later. The only thing that will be left in our room will be the bed so that will be interesting trying to manoeuvre tomorrow for the fitter to work!

The good news is that once the carpets are down, DH can get the final wall papered in baby's room and then after my 36week mw appt on Thursday I can get it all put together. Exciting times!!!

  • I'm getting fed up with people commenting how big my bump is. Today I was asked if I was due any day or if it was twins !

Leave my bump alone sorry hormonal rant over
  • My bump isn't that big but my bum is lol. I have had a few people randomly having a feel which I still find odd.

Our house is upside down as we are in the process of decorating. Can't even get in guest room lol

Had a brill scan but sonographer referred to baby as she so I don't know if it was a slip or she calls all babies she. Baby is growing well, looks to have hair and was blowing bubbles :)

Right washing to get out, pack up to do and bath to be had.

Aww SewIt what a lovely comment from your husband

MrsC glad the room has been cleared, hope you get a more peaceful day tomorrow despite the carpet fitter being there. Have fun decorating the nursery

Toooldforthis - how annoying about the bump comments, what I find most annoying is that some say about being big then someone else will say about it being small.

Mr_Knight I hate being touched so anyone touching my bump would not get a good response. How annoying if you were staying team yellow that you may have been given a clue about the baby, though I think some do just use 'she' or 'he' rather than it
