  • Tia so interesting how the different areas vary. We get one 9.30-3.30pm class on a Sunday (which was good) and we got to look round the mw led centre. There is a separate feeding one that is drop in for a couple of hours midweek evening. I am also going to NCT (first one on Weds, second tomorrow) and antenatal hydro and lazy daisy! Spoiling myself.

Alioops I also have 3 more weeks at work. :j So tired. This week has been hectic with 4 days work, one evening NCT, one day NCT 9-2pm tomorrow and hydro on Thursday. Next week have 4 days work, 34 week mw, pamper session :D, lazy daisy, 2 evening NCT and a 9-2pm NCT on Saturday before heading off west to see my grandmother on Saturday, staying the night, seeing my aunt and uncle on the way home on Sunday and then getting home  Even DH feels exhausted on my behalf! He gets to skip one of the NCT classes.

Laila I don't know the answer to this either but would be interested to know also.

we only attended the NHS antenatal classes, there weren't any others which didn't require a half hour drive, which would negate many of the friend making benefits. Ours was 10 - 2.30 on a Monday but didn't involve a hospital tour or anything. We did have a separate breastfeeding one which lasted a couple of hours.
Unfortunately, today I've found out that on one of my countless visits to my hospital we could have gone to maternity reception to book a tour. They only happen on Saturday afternoons and have to be booked, and unfortunately we are now too late to go for one before my due date :( but at least we did get told where maternity reception is and which ward I will be one phew!

I didn't do the NTC classes for this reason too. The nearest one to me was 50 minutes away. I did go to the local sure start baby shower though last week and met some lovely mums/ to be, so will go there when baby arrives.

Its unfortunate you missed out on the tour, my midwife told me about it at around 25 weeks and said to book on it for around 34 weeks as they get full. It was quite annoying when only 6 of the 10 couples showed up!!

Laila, I am quite jealous of you and Daisie having a show lol. I am not having any signs yet.... Not even Braxton hicks. Unless I am but I can not feel them.... Ggrrr, can see me going over.

I have neen having Braxton hicks since 16 weeks. They are so strong now they stop me in my tracks. Anyone else get them all the time?

I had a show last time about 24 hours before I went into labour. Not the sAme for everyone but it's quite exciting as you feel something is happening. Hopefully things will move quickly for you two ladies :) well maybe wait another week or so Laila :)

    Have a nice weekend everyone.
  • We'll it's been ages since I've posted, but have been lurking and feeling envious of all the new babies. Can't wait for it to be me.

Got a rubbish week ahead. GTT on Monday morning, 28 week midwife appt on Wednesday (don't mind this one) with whooping cough jab straight afterwards, so will have an aching arm for a while.

However, it's all edging closer to B-day so I'm happy really.

I'm sure I've read a couple of you have suffered from dizziness. I'm starting to get it now and wondered what it tends to be down to? Iron levels? Just general pregnancy stuff?

jenand8285 Don't think I am getting Braxton Hicks, I assume I would know if I was?

I had some stomach pains last night but they didn't feel like tightenings or anything so I just put it down to the half tub of Ben & Jerrys I ate that evening.

RMR I think sometimes the dizziness can be down to low blood pressure, I was also told when I blacked out it was probably because I hadn't eaten well that day and could have been dehydrated. It also had a lot to do with rushing halfway across London to catch a train, and then having to stand up as there were no seats.
  • Hi all back n leg pain had subsided for a few weeks n back pain is back now and worst I have been getting crippling cramp in my calves it makes me almost cry leg goes into spasm. Have had cramp in feet for weeks n that's doable but this in calf is hellish.

freebiequennie, sorry to hear about your leg spasms, hope you can figure out what to do to ease them, would stretching your calf help?

Yes, I've always had low blood pressure and felt a little dizziness at times pre-pregnancy. Not when just sat down and not moving though.

Will chat to the midwife Wednesday.

Are you getting the dizzy spells less now Lemon Tree?
