Congrats Alipops!
MrsC- ranitidine has been the only thing to keep my acid reflux bearable as it got to the point where I just couldn't deal with food. I also swear by three pillows too- i used to sleep barely on one! I hope that you start feeling a little better but don't ignore how you feel. Take care of yourself- work and everything else just isn't that important. xx
Afm- i may be queue jumping even further- think T2D's little one and my baby are having a race! Movements reduced since the ECV on Thursday so they're monitoring me again tomorrow (everything else is reassuringly fine) and will make their decision whether to move section to tomorrow/ Monday. Like t2d i'd rather wait until after the bank holiday weekend- hospitals are weirdly quiet at weekends!0 -
Congrats Alipops!
TACOD how funny that the two babies are having a race, I have mental image of them both in little F1 cars!0 -

Hi ladies,
Can I join all of you. I reached my 24 week today and so excited and scared at same time.
I am due on 14th December, but according to consultant it might be a bit early as I am an IVF pregnancy and they don't want to go more than my due date going to have regular scans at 28,32 and 36 weeks and if anything is amiss they will induce me immediately:eek:
Have all of you ladies bought your prams. I was just looking at some over the weekend and I liked the uppababy vista anyone bought that or used it?

hello lovely ladies
just after a bit of advice...
I am currently 6+2 with my first and have really been struggling with "morning" (aka all day) sickness, and the "other end" (multi toilet trips). I have lost 7lb in two weeks and am exhausted.
Just wondering, any tips? when did these kind of symptoms stop for you? (please say they stop!!!) should I speak to the doc at all? I'm just not sure if I should be worried or not if that makes sense.

It stops for *most* women between 8 and 12 weeks, when the placenta takes over and lets the other hormones level off a bit. Speak to a doctor/pharmacist first, but I've been told that I can take immodium (the melts are wonderful if you can't keep down anything), but for throwing up, tiny and often. You can try ginger biscuits and such, but honestly, just eat whatever you can, when you can. Baby will get what it needs from you no matter (as was evident when I was in the hospital). The main thing is to try and stay hydrated. Ice lollies and jelly are great when you don't want to drink anything but need liquid. If you really cannot keep anything down, speak to your doctor. That's what they are there for! They can prescribe antisickness tablets, but it's usually only for the more extreme cases.
Just out of curiosity, are you taking any vitamins? I don't know if it has anything to do with me not having any 'morning' (yeah right!) sickness this time around or not, but I've been taking a b-complex vitamin and the Seven Seas pregnancy tablets. The pregnancy tablets have ginger in them, and one of the b-vitamins is supposed to help with nausea, but I can't remember which one, so I just take the complex to keep my b-6 and b-12 at the right levels. If you have a Savers near you, the Seven Seas pregnancy tablets (28 pack) is £2.99 - cheapest I've found them elsewhere is £4.99!
Hope that helps!
