Anyone else having food issues, along the lines of not wanting to eat? I'm sick of it, if I don't eat I feel sick and have heartburn, if I do eat I feel sick and have heartburn. I know baby is pressing more on my stomach/filling more space now and restricting the amount I can physically eat, and also allowing more acid reflux but it's at the ridiculous stage as even looking at or thinking about food makes me want to throw up.

I cracked up again yesterday at midwife, tbh I crack up most days (I'm still lying in bed typing this with tears running down my face). I have likened the symptoms I have now to what I was like before I had the Mirena removed last year so she's hoping that the way I am feeling is all hormone related and that I will go back to 'normal', whatever that is, after baby is here. She was going to speak with my doctor anyway incase it isn't and I need help afterwards and is going to see how I am in 4 weeks time at 36 weeks and made me promise to go see the doc in between times if I need to. She offered to get me something to take now but I refused as it's hard to even get me to take a paracetamol never mind anything else!

I'm kinda at my wits end, keep reminding myself I only have 17 days to work and I only need to paint a face on for those 17 days.

On a more positive note, for those having probs with Boots parenting club, I sent them a pm through their fb page as when I log in I constantly get the option to join the club and haven't had anything through. Explained it all to them and sent my advantage card number and address so they could look into it.
They responded saying that me joining hadn't gone through but they've added me and activated my membership immediately, I should get my welcome pack in 4-6 weeks and they've credited me 500 points aswell! Might be worth contacting them.

    Congratulations disney x

Had a scan today showing baby as head down, so I'll be OK for a home birth anytime from tomorrow if baby does decide to come a little early :) Yesterday was my last day at work, which was strange as it was very quiet - only two others in, so we didn't do anything in particular. Another colleague dropped round a gerbera plant this morning though (missed her as I was having the scan), which was our wedding flower, so that's really lovely of her.

I've not had anything from Boots so thanks for the reminder,I'll look into that and see if I get free points too!

Bluebell, just noticed your signature, that was our original planned wedding date but we had to put it off as someone held up all divorce proceedings and completely did our heads in!

Ah Mrs C rubbish for you :(.

This week the acid reflux has started, I think I am eating less (but am meant to be eating more?) and am less interested in food for sure. It's like being in the early days where the list of things I don't want to eat is longer than those I do want to eat.

I am off work today as had !TMI alert TMI alert! diarrohea yesterday morning but I thought it was an IBS thing. Needed another but it was normal and about 6pm so thought it was one off. Woke up this morning with diarrhoea again, felt awful (perhaps connected to DH waking at 4.30am feeling unwell and going downstairs) and only been again once but keep feeling the eneed. Opted to spend day in bed and looking forward to nap after lunch.

Glad to hear your mw is listening and thinking about what might help. i have to say I have been surprised by how hormonal I have been. Silly though because I was hormonal before going on the pill so why being off it and then being pg should mean I'm not, I don't know. I nearly burst into tears when dh got back from the morrisons with a nappy bin, croissants, disposables and a half rpice baby johnsons toiletries set because I was touched of him thinking of me and the baby :o I am lucky in that he is thoughtful but it wouldn't normally reduce me to tears.

They keep saying little and often too don't they? I find yoghurt really good as it's small but full of calcium. Dips like hummus (easy to stop when you're full). Half a sandwich at a time. Cake (currently banana and chocolate so fool myself it's one of my five a day). Half a banana. Toast. Muffins. Plain biscuits.

I avoid soups (too much liquid sloshing around).

Not much fun but hoping it will help my digestive system :(

At the moment I'm eating what I fancy when I fancy it just to get something into me. There's no way I can eat more than I was, it's tailed off completely. I've been a crisp and chocolate addict for the last three months and nothing can get me eating them now. I've also gone off cold meat again.

Today I've managed to eat a bowl of mixed berries and a shape yogurt, and two small fruit scones with butter and jam. Needless to say I now feel like barfing. That will be me until dinner time when I'm supposed to find the notion somehow to feed everyone else and manage to get something into me aswell. I hope this passes pretty quick.

Hubby came home from work at lunchtime and gave me a big cuddle telling me that he knows it's not what I want to hear but it will probably only get worse before it gets better. I bet this baby's gonna be a right stubborn one and keep me hanging on for even longer than EDD! I hope not :(

Sorry you're both feeling poo MrsC and lilmiss but I'm glad that you're OH's are taking care of you or doing what they think is taking care of you lol.

I ended up a crying mess Tuesday night and Wednesday as hubby's sister has been visiting since last Tuesday and gone back today with her kids. His younger sister has basically not let her out of her sight so we have only managed Monday night alone with the Older sister and no time alone with the kids other than staying later after tea.

This set me off as it just reminds me that my family are so much nicer and definitely not selfish brats and I even had the evil though of I don't want my child growing up with these people. I was all set to get everything organised for us to move back to Oz which to be honest I'll probably attempt at some point in the next couple of years anyway.

Younger sister didn't even spend that much time with Older sister until she moved away, it was mainly hubby and Older sister hanging out so I was disappointed for him and the kids always wanted to spend more time with us but as we're working it just wasn't possible.

Plus on Tuesday I received a Thinking of You card off my Nana which after the week I'd had with all my hospital appointments, finding out about GD and the above outlaws issues was the last straw that set me off. Luckily I was seeing my counsellor on Wednesday morning so I cried all the way to my appointment and as soon as I walked through the door but luckily she was able to sort me out and I was able to chat to hubby about it.

On a massive plus note the new manager in my office is very impressed with absolutely everything that I do.

Wow that was more of a rant than I thought :rotfl:

Have a fantastic bank holiday weekend ladies xx

i'd say that sounds similar to me in terms of diet! Know what you mean about cold meat too. My favourite sandwich currently is avocado and salad. Nom.

Lucky me in that there is just the two of us so DH is nominated chef for tonight. I asked my friend with one how she coped with pg number 2. 'Miserably' she said. Whenever I say this to other more than one child mums (step, half or otherwise) there is a rueful laugh.

I promise to send you on due date wishes!

Thanks Alioops. I'm really lucky though as this is only my second day off sick this year/pg. Sorry to hear about the outlaws. I'm pretty lucky with mine plus mil is clever enough not to say things like 'you shouldn't have children if you can't look after them' (response to DH when he asked what they would feel about looking after LO at any point). If she said that to me I would have to say 'fair enough, i shouldn't put them in nursery or with other family members - otherwise I might end up with two children seeking psychological therapy, on medication and with psychiatry appointments!' (i.e. my DH and his brother). Now I admire them seeking help, but she doesn't (older generation ideas of shame) and I resented the fact that I feel she is criticising us for not being full time with the kids so feel like criticising her back. Imagine I won't ever say it. I am a bigger person.

PS I bore on aboutthis every time someone mentions Oz but can so understand why you would want to go back. What a fab country! I did a 10 week mini look round. Also excited as my friend who emigrated there in 09 is back in September with their little girl born funnily enough on DH's and my brother's bday (31st May) and I do get moments of jealousy. And that's without having family there. I have even asked DH to get a PGCE as if I wanted to go live somewhere else we could.

    Congratulations Disney! :j:j

Hugs MrsC sorry to hear you are feeling like that

Bluebell1000 That's good news the baby is head down and you can have the home birth you want!

lilmissreading Hoping your tummy is better soon.

alioops78 Glad you are feeling a bit better

I'm number 13...I swear I was number 22 a couple of days ago! Scary!

Had 34 week MW appointment yesterday, apparently the little lady is 3/5ths engaged which is good. Everything else is good except for major irritability, literally everything is winding me up at the moment...bloody hormones. On the plus side, the house is pretty much finished now so we've got some time to chill before she arrives (hopefully)!
