Peonie & WTDN, I get the same thing. Only sometimes, but it is horrible. It starts with a dull feeling in my legs, like they are made of led, then a pressure feeling in my pelvis, then a slight sickness feeling, then out of breath and finally the lightheadedness where lights swim in front of my eyes. The only thing that helps is stopping and sitting down, and taking a drink of water. I can take me 15 mins to walk a 3 min journey from the bus stop to my work. Spoke to the mw about it who seemed unconcerned. She said it could be blood pressure (but mine is fine) or related to anaemia, which I have a touch of.
Doesn't sound like I get it as bad as you Peonie though and WTDN, I don't know how I'll make it to 38 weeks either. Just off for another mw app now, so going to ask them again. Will report back what they say.
hugs ladies xx0 -
Sewit - yes that's the same thing! I get like a heaviness in my pelvic area. That's why I thought it could be baby pressing down on something she shouldn't! Spoke to my MW about it yesterday she was also unconcerned and just said take it easy and make sure I eat regularly.0

Hi All
I m only 22+ 3 currently will be moving to this thread in couple of weeks but I have a query so thought I will post here.
At my 20 weeks can i came to know that I have anterior placenta and I m still waiting to feel kicks all ladies at my stage are already having loads of kicks which is making me quite worried as I don't feel anything. Can any one advice it is common to not feel movements until this stage.
To reassure myself I m planning to buy a fetal heart Doppler did any one use this? Any advice on which one is good?

Just back from 28 week growth scan (am 28+6), baby is doing great, but is a little on the small side, but still within normal limits. around the 12th percentile so nothing to worry about. Back at 32 weeks for another scan, but I'll be almost 33 weeks on the date I've to go back. Lovely to see baby again and we got a lovely close up of baby's face, and a picture to go with it. Baby is breech at the moment, but plenty time to turn.
WTDN & Peonie - I saw a Dr not a MW so asked about the 'episodes', she said its not blood pressure related as mine is fine, nor is it anaemia related, as I am not anaemic any more. Dr said sometimes breech babies can press more on the big vein (she didn't call it that, she gave it it's proper name!!) and than can restrict the blood flow to the heart, causing it to skip a few beats. Just to be on the safe side, she is arranging a test where I will wear a heart monitor for a day and they will then download the data to see if there is anything going on. Might be worth asking again at MW if this has not been mentioned to you? On the other hand she said it might just be one of those pregnancy things, but always worth asking about further tests, as it is worrying and always happens in the most inconvenient places!
Sorry for lack of personals, just at work so will log on later for a proper catch up!0 -
Hi LA...
Although not got this myself, I've heard on many occasions that it will take a few more weeks for people with anteriors to feel the kicks.
People have different opinions on dopplers - some people like them and find them reassuring, but many midwives don't because often people panic when they don't find a heartbeat (they can be hard to find) and then go into hospital and find out everything is OK.
So it is entirely up to you whether you feel that it would be useful or not. If it were me, I would hang on a couple of weeks before worrying.
Cam you ring your own midwife and ask her what her opinion is?0 -
Thanks Sewit
I will keep an eye on it and if it continues will push for a monitor. Let us know how you get on
