Just for clarity, the BMI that is tested is for when you're very early stages ie a couple of weeks into your pg .. So basically your size before any weight gain or for really anything to outwardly change if that makes sense. So pretty much 'you' as you are almost before pg0

Good Morning Ladies,
I'm normally just a bit of a lurker but am after some advice/wisdom.
Currently, I'm 37weeks and 3 days, due 31st August. I'm having another eventful day - at 5am, I lost more mucus/bloody show, happened to see midwife yesterday when I'd lost some and she said it was a good sign for a first baby etc. I thought I'd had my lot yesterday but apparently not! Getting period pain like aches on and off at the moment so going to stay in today and see if it leads anywhere.
My husband is beside himself with excitement, I'm keeping calm and just taking it as it comes.
I'm going to try to think of tasks that involve standing rather than slumping around on the sofa, don't want these pains to fade away - if anyone has any ideas or suggestions they'd be most welcome??

Sorry I'm lurking in the wrong thread I'm not supposed to be here yet but the period pains are probably early contractions start timing them to see if they're regular, this is how I started with my first and ended up ringing the maternity unit to check if they were contractions, best wishes for a short straight forward labour xxxPlanning to be debt free by 11/20. Me too ^^^ For goodness sake do take some rest as well, if it's early labour you'll need your energy for the end. Watch a romantic comedy to boost those feel-good hormones and remember to eat well:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

Hi Alipops. Congrats on potential imminent labour. Have you got a gym ball you can sit on? Apparently that's good for getting baby into the right position and helping gravity to get baby on its way.LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00

hi alioops, we were told to rest during early labour as we would need it for the later stages, we were also told that when the pain starts to pick up try and do something to take your mind off it, eg bake a cake etc.
good luck, hope you're hugging your baby shortly0 -
alipops1986 hope it all goes well for you x
Had a bit of a EEEEK moment for a minute then... I read alipops1986 as alioops78 and thought surely that's too early! Nearly went into labour myself :rotfl:0 -

Haha! Thanks all for your help.
I'm noting down the time the pains come, although I'm not 100% if they're the right pains (some a sharp period like pains, some are tummy tightening's, some are both!) but I thought I had best do something. They've gone from about 30 mins to 20 mins at the moment. A bit eek but nothing I'd class as properly painful.

Good luck Alipops, I'd say take a nap if you can!
Just ventured onto the Wii fit to see what my weight is like - hadn't checked since March! I've put on 10kg since getting pregnant, which is pretty much OK for 35 weeks, though given how much I lost during breastfeeding last time I think I will need to try and up my calories a little for the next few weeks to try and stock up. While it should probably be healthy calories, I have raided the chocolate biscuitsI'm almost exactly the same weight as when I had DS - just 1lb lighter at the moment.
Having a strange day today, cleaned the toilet and washed the walls and skirting in there, but otherwise there's quite a few things I could be doing, I just can't be bothered. Oh, and sorted out some clothes for me in case I have to go into hospital (baby clothes were already done). I think I'll have an afternoon of cross stitch or something. i'm actually trying to finish off a research paper before I leave work, and I kind of want to write that, but all my info is at work and it's meant to be my day off!0
