Congrats Purcy
MrsC it's probably the right thing to do for you to bring leaving forward.
AFM getting used to testing my blood now and surprised at what's giving me high readings, Pineapple and Nectarine?? didn't read my tiny booklet properly which said these are very high in natural sugar so hubby is going to be enjoying the fresh pineapple mainly.
Woo only 5 weeks left at work for me and can't bl**dy wait to finish, on the plus side the third new person to start is on 2 weeks sick leave for quite a silly reason but I don't care as it's one less stress and I've been told that I don't have to go on the phones either.
Oh yeah and forgot to mention that the mw told me on Monday that my iron level was 10.9 and the level to start being treated is 10.5 so advised me to start using Spatone so have stocked up thanks to B00ts 3 for 2 offer on herbal things and will start taking it tonight and hopefully that will help with my exhaustion although I won't hold my breath.
Hope you've all got lovely plans for the weekends xxDEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

hope the spatone works for you Alioops, sometimes testing your sugars is a right bind, but it's worth it to keep both you and baby safe.
MrsC - sounds like a good decision to bring your maternity leave forwards. I had decided to bring mine forward to 37 weeks, but as I have now been signed off until my due date (on midwife and managers advice) it will be forced into place at 36 weeks, but I'm now at a stage where I don't mind, I certainly need the time off at home.0 -
Congrats purcy!
We almost decided on Ada for our little one, I absolutely love that name, its beautiful.0 -
Thanks Lemon Tree and Alioops,I do think 13 days was too ambitious with the way I've been now so another week will do the world of good, and with having that 13 days leave to take it's cut it right back. Have managed to get through the two weeks I was meant to be alone but had company, even if it did go a bit wrong! I ended up the last 3 days alone but just kicked contractors off site at 3 so I could go and then today it was 1pm!
Had my first antenatal class this week, infant feeding. Now, I know it's meant to be important but 2 hours of being talked at during which I could have slept.....here's hoping next week will be better as it's actually with my own midwife then have my 32 week appt with her the next day.
Increasingly uncomfortable and sore but bring me I just keep putting a brave face on it.
When did everyone start using a ball? I've got a gym ball in the loft but can't be bothered getting it out to use. My sister had a bad ball experience with no 4.....it burst and she landed in a heap on the floor. Not nice then but funny now!No longer ...tobe! Mrs C I won't be using a ball, I had one unused for years in a cupboard which went to a charity shop when we moved, so I'm not getting one just for labour for it to then sit around making a mess. I don't need help to make my house a mess at the moment0

Ali I'm using Spatone, I haven't had my iron tested since about 8 weeks when it was normal (but am going for bloods next week including iron level) but in desperation I've started using it in case it helps with my tiredness. The midwife says the tiredness in the first trimester could have been normal but then my iron levels could have dropped after that and made the tiredness continue instead of easing off.
One tip - put it in juice, not water. It tastes very strong, like blood when you cut your finger and put it in your mouth!0 -
Hi all,
Thank you all wonderful ladies who replied to my query yesterday.
Luckily I also had a midwife appt today and heard the heart beat again which was wonderful. The midwife also mentioned it might be 2 - 3 weeks before I feel any flutters.
After reading your MSG's I decided not to buy the Doppler as today midwife took some time to find the heart beat so I started thinking if I buy a Doppler I may start to stress everytime I can't hear anything.Saving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0 -

:T purcy! Sorry to hear it was a bumpy road but fabulous outcome! Beautiful name.
Mrs C - glad to hear the end is in sight. I am going off at 37 weeks but as of next week have 3 four day weeks and then 2 three day weeks. Work is mentally busy currently and I have had stupid pg insomnia. Woke up at 4.30am am on Thursday morning  I like the practice for sleepless nights.
Lemontree - glad to hear you are off and being listened to.
I think without the lessening in hours I would definitely have gone off earlier than 37 weeks. At one stage I thought 38 weeks, then 3 friends had babies early (i.e. pre due date) so i moved it up for that reason. Now I am realising I am going off for me as much as for the birth. doesn't help storing my leave and not having a day off since April nor a week off since Christmas!
I am very lucky that all continues unremarkable for my pg though. Looking forward to lazy daisy starting on 1st September and still going to hydro therapy. I am apparently a wee bit anaemic so bought lots of leafy greens.
Loveactually- glad those msgs were helpful. I didn't buy a doppler for same reasons - over worry. I am another anterior placenta. I did get movements at 19+4 but only fleeting, only lying on my left/back and only between 9pm and midnight. This continued until well into 29 weeks when my uterus has apparently turned into a happy hour bar and he is boogying around regularly (early morning, lunchtime, evening). My friend at work felt no movements until into 24 weeks and she has a lovely 1 year old now. I was so stressed at 19 weeks not feeling anything so I can entirely understand your position.
