Thank you
I just want to get my head around it all. I'm in stockport, I know mothercare has a room but to be honest I don't really go out that much, other than the supermarket! I hate Boxing Day sales but I want clothes from next for the baby!
I'm going to look at the cover options and have a practise. I really want bf to work out for us0 -

Also, make use of your local drop-in for support, information and to practice feeding out and about in a really safe environment. YOu can go along while pregnant to have a chat and get to know the supporters who run it.
Have a look here http://www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/support-centres to find your local groups. Also check out La Leche League https://www.laleche.org.uk/find-lll-group but they do tend to be rather more "earth mother" which may not suit you.

The time when we found expressing particularly useful (other than if I was away from DS) was on a long car journey. My family are 2 hours away, and it was pretty much guaranteed that DS would wake in the car. It was a nuisance to have to then stop, and park for half an hour mid-trip in a service station car park while he had a feed!
I just used a blanket when feeding to cover up. Our local Mothercare does have a lovely feeding room tooVery comfy chairs.
We gave up trying to find the stopper for our gym ball, and ordered a new one, which has just arrived. I'm going to get that out and start bouncing tonight! Wondering if it's possible to prep a big tub of redcurrants for making chutney while bouncing...0 -
It's gone very quiet on here lately. Hope lots of ladies are off having thier babies!
When I visit my neighbour I always weigh myself because I don;t own any scales, and I've continued through pregnancy because I read that just before labour it is common to lose a few pounds suddenly due to the hormonal changes.
Well, I was last there laast Friday and weighed my usual third-trimester 75kg. Today I was there, weighed myself, and...I'm 73kg!
So I think all my signs are adding up to impending labour!!!
I've had a Google and it usually happens up to one week beforehand, but having not weighed myself for a week I don;t know if it happened nearly a week ago, or yesterday, but my other signs are the bump has dropped, I am waddling for real, I feel sick but also eating more than I have been lately, lots of discharge which may or may not be a show (it's egg whitey), and some very minor spotting.
I'm really hoping baby will come in the next few days - I am so ready for it now even though I'm only 39 +3.
If any of the others who are due are reading - how are you all doing?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Good luck skint. Hopefully will hear all from you pretty soon.
I'm still here, having a hard time to be honest. Being at home alone 24/7 is really starting to get to me. Today I was just depressed... No other word for it. I'm fighting with dh over nothing, and just wishing time would move faster. I know I need to keep this baby on as long as possible, but I worry I won't make it and will end up a mess by the time it arrives. Then I'll be terrible at caring for him! Sigh... Just a bad day.
And I'm worrying about my diet. Today I've had a bowl of cereal as I forced myself to have something but I just have zero appetite. I've taken some vitamins and calcium which I hope the baby gets, but just can't have food at the moment. This is MOST unlike me.
Tomorrow I'll be OK I'm sure, but it feels like such a long long wait until I can start to get back to being me.0 -
Hugs T2D, I'm sure baby will be taking whatever nutrients it needs from you, whatever you're eating. Hope that tomorrow is a better day for you. Is there anything you could do, like learn a new craft skill, sewing, maybe even learn a language or something, just to try and make the days go a bit faster?
Hope things start happening for you soon Skintchick!
I can report there were 639 redcurrants in the pot (plus another 2 I threw away). That really was an unexciting job, sorting through those and getting stalks off. They are now all ready for chutneying tomorrow. I didn't get the gym ball out though, will do it tomorrow! We are also having a work colleague round to talk about making us some new cupboards, will be so nice to have storageSomeone else will be coming Weds too for a look, so will see who comes up with a decent price.

T2D - you sound really stressed.Is there a specialist MW tam you could be referred to? Here, we have the Poppy Team which deals with people who need extra support - you need to ask your usual MW and get her to refer you. You can also be referred early to the Health Visiting Team who will visit you and provide support. You don;t need to be alone in this.
Please call your MW and tell her how you are feeling and ask what support is available.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

so I tried to talk to my husband tonight, and he took it all like I was attacking him and has now stormed out after slamming doors so hard he's broken one. And I don't think I even want him to come back. I can't stop crying..0

lots of hugs for you T2d, it is hard when you're at home all day on your own, specially when it's not something you're used to. Hope your OH calms down soon and you're both feeling better and happier. Sometimes men just don't get that we're not having a go at them just at a situation. once again hugs x0
