Hello ladies, sorry for not posting for ages as i have been in hospital with gestational diabetes, cholestatstis and pre-ecalmpsia. As a result a section was planned for the 26th June then moved to the 24th June and then after more results the 22nd.
A baby girl called Camilla was born on 22nd June weighing 9lb 13oz, at 36 +4. Were both doing well although baby has a touch of jaundice and has lost 15% of her body weight but is feeding well and my milk has come in so fingers crossed we're on te right track and she can avoid going into hospital. We were released on friday, 5 days post birth.
Sorry for queue jumping, Congrats to preggo and anyone else ive missed, good luck to those at their due dates and hugs to those who need them. after a 16 day stay in hospital and some major surgery im totally in love and would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Lilmiss I'm so glad it's not just me. I was meant to be getting a back rub but he came home from football, changed and went down to watch football without even so much as a how are you. The fact I didn't turn round when I spoke might have given him an idea right enough! No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000

Keep forgetting to say all this information on lotus birth and delayed cord clamping is really interesting to read and consider. I feel very under-researched!
PS on a long non pg shot, DH would really like what I call a coffee table book of photos of important events like the monk who immolated, war photogrpahy, Tianamen square etc (politically/culturally important events). Is anyone interested in photography and have any recommendations?Met DH to be 2010

I definitely want the placenta removed and baby cleaned up before she is passed to me. I also want the placenta out as quick as possible, so I'll be having the injection.
I think OH would like to cut the cord, he wanted to with DS but unfortunately didn't get the chance as DS had to be whipped out of me and resuscitated. OH is much better with blood than I am. I can cope with bodily functions but not blood!0 -
Congratulations MrsMuffin!! Sounds like all is going really well. On the jaundice, just keep feeding her and get plenty of daylight and it will pass. Same with the weight - feed as much as possible, plenty of skin to skin contact and let her feed as and when she wants to.
I'm assuming the hospital are monitoring the weight loss? Did you have IV fluids during the birth as thaat can artificially inflate the birth weight, so she may not actually have lost as much as 15 per cent from her real weight IYSWIM.

Mrs C hope you start feeling better soon. In all honesty I hated being pregnant the first time, the only thing I enjoyed was the scans and when DS kicked, I swore he was going to be an only child before I'd even given birth. Obviously I changed my mind and I've loved being pregnant this time.
Lemon Tree your FIL sounds a bit out of touch with reality (no offence). Glad you're taking a bit of a break from work. If your head of department can waltz off as they see fit then you should feel no guilt about taking time off if you genuinely need it.
lilmiss hope you get the childcare sorted, but from what you've said I think they may find it too much. It sounds like your mum will be fine though. My mum took my DS for the afternoon today and said he'd been a little angel, I'm not sure if her version of little angel and mine differ or if he genuinely behaves better for her than he does for me!
skintchick I've been having painful BH for weeks now. I'm getting different pains now, but still nothing of note has happened, although I feel a bit 'different' so I'm hopeful something might happen soon! I'm 38+3.
Congratulations on the arrival of Camilla MrsMuffin, sounds like you've had a very rough time of it, hope you both continue to do well.0 -
And just as I hit post he appeared. He hates to see me in tears and in his words 'even more so when it's for no reason'. I've plenty reason but I just can't get words out!!!!! When I'm feeling like this I usually get out and go a long walk but it has to be dark for me to do that and I won't have the energy come that time!
I haven't even thought about the birth other than the only person I want with me is hubby (someone closeby has it on her bucket list to be a birthing partner, she left in no doubt when she asked that she would defo not be mine) and he's been told if I'm up all night and all day he's to tell everyone to stay away from the hospital that night. The nursing staff will be told that aswell if I'm compusmentus enough! I'm putting off all thoughts about yucky things!
My stepmum has offered to come up a week or so before due date and help out in the house and things but I think I'll have to turn that down, it would drive me nuts!No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -

This will definitely be the one and only for me. I have 4 step kids and this one wasn't planned. I joked that if I had to have a section they could just sort the tubes out while they were in there but being realistic hubby will probably end up being the one doing the honours and if he refuses I'll be popping pills for the rest of my days, or at least until the hormones send me nuts like with the mirena! I've not even been overjoyed at the scans (4 of them), probably more scared with each one. And as for the kicking and moving about, I've only been feeling bubs for just over a week and just hope the movements won't keep me awake at night! I'm a sad case tonight eh?!
