    Congrats Preggosaurus!! :j

    Happy Due Date glimmer!

It feels odd for me, I really didn't expect to get this far. Turns out nor did my consultant! (He'd bet on 38wks at latest!) how do you feel?

    THANKYOU aqua!
That sounds like a wonderful day yesterday. Also sounds like pre-lab / practice-lab (I don't like the term 'false', as it's all forward progress!)

Seems odd that fireys EDD is past but she only became a boldie today, & mine is Today & I'm still not... Perhaps the rule should change to Top 3 Or those within 3 days (?) of their EDD?

Hope sunshine is well, & that no news is good news? :D

Midwife is coming to do my BP this afternoon... I'm scared I'll get hospitalised if it's higher. And being scared doesn't help
    BP!

  • aquamarinemonkey sounds like a lovely day :) and very glad you got your hospital bag packed, hehe. I've done the same as you, one bag iv packed with things I'll only need after the birth and ill leave it in the car, mainly because I don't want to turn up at hospital with 2 huge bags! iv also written a list of things I'll need before we leave the house that I can't pack now (like phone charger, and pillow!) and taped it to the back of our bedroom door! otherwise I'm sure I'll forget things.

robots happy due date! fingers crossed for your blood pressure, I'm not allowed to give birth on the birth suite now (midwife led unit) because my blood pressure has been high for my last 4 visits :( but oh well, I suppose it's for safety since they just want to keep an eye on me.

with the list I thought you were a boldie as soon as it's your due date, I think it's just been a little neglected as sunshine has been away doing important things! :)

5 days overdue for me today and feeling fed up, one of my biggest fears is having to be induced :( I wish I just knew she was coming, even if i go 10 days over I don't care I just really want to start off naturally. tried a few things so far but nothing has given me even a twinge. I'm really hormonal and cry at least once every day, ha. yesterday I cried because a girl on my Facebook who has a 4 day ond baby girl was posting gorgeous pics of her and I was really jealous saying to my OH 'I want my baby it's not faaair!' oh dear. he is being amazing to be honest. he's starting his paternity leave on Friday so iv given her a warning to hurry up :)

hope everyone else is good xx

    Morning ladies

sorry been a bit awol looks like I've got a lot of posts to read back through you ladies have certainly been chatting!

    Congrats preggosaurus x

Sounds promising aquamarinemonkey hopefully its the start of things, sounds like you had a lovely day though x

Good luck with the midwife robots x

AFM it looks like I shall be getting signed off work as my physio has said theres nothing more she can really do for me and I'm causing myself a lot of harm by forcing through the pain to go to work. I'm a bit upset but as DH said it's time to switch my priorities from work to baby it's just come around a little sooner than I thought. I've never not worked or been signed off so it's a bit scary but I can't cope with this pain for much longer.

Little lady is getting along well and is super active, she looks like she's auditioning for alien when she sticks bits of herself out lol. I have another scan a week on thursday so hoping she hasn't grown too much! I'm going to push for some answers as to when they'll be wanting her to be born as I understand it will be early due to my gestational diabetes. Also she'll hopefully have turned the right way round too!

Off to read back, hugs to all

Congrats Preggosaurus on the birth of your little girl! :j

On the topic of managed / natural third stage - I had delayed cord clamping and natural third stage as its standard at our MLU. Tbh I didn't notice the delay in cutting the cord as I was enjoying nice skin to skin :) The cord is really alien looking though! The placenta was right there from all that pushing and I didn't really need to do anything to deliver it. So just another perspective.

Hugs (((((Fiery))))) Hope contractions kick off soon.

Happy due date Robots and Glimmer :j Exciting times!

Sounds like a lovely baby shower Aqua :)

Purcy, hugs for pain, I hope you get some nice wind down time now before your baby arrives.

    Hugs x

purcy81 sounds like you are doing the right thing RE work, will probably take a while to get your head round it but it will be for the best

Hugs to anyone feeling rubbish or down.
AFM finally managed a decent nights sleep last night after a week or so of interrupted nights so feeling pretty good today for a change...typical that it's a work day lol. My buggy/pram is being delivered tomorrow...so excited!

  • hehe, I had my little man last week :-)

robots I've edited my post and made you a boldy! I wasn't sure if we waited to day after due date or not!

firey sorry you can't go on the MLU now, hope baby doesn't keep you waiting much longer!

purcy sorry you're struggling. I had to take mat leave from 29 weeks with DS for medical reasons (knew in advance) so if your midwife is recommending you get signed off it's obviously the right decision. I finished at 34 weeks this time and I don't think I could have worked any longer, so get your feet up!

Lara and glimmer hope all is going well with your little ones!

Laila glad you've managed to get some sleep.

I went back to bed this morning for a couple of hours. OH not in work until tonight so he could keep an eye on DS. The pains came back about noon, they're not contractions (I would know as I laboured for hours before having a c-section with DS) but I'm hoping they're a sign something is happening down there. I'm at the hospital in the morning anyway so I'll find out more then. I feel ready now, and once the final few things are in my hospital bag(s) I might make a start on the pineapple I treated myself to when we went shopping!
I've also realised that we need to pack a bag for DS for when he goes to stay at my mum's as I know me and baby will have to stay in 24 hours as a minimum because of the GD and my hospital has some rooms where the dad can stay over too, although there's no guarantee one will be available, OH would want to stay if there was.

    Hi all

Just popping on to say that our baby girl was born at 4am this morning. She is doing well and such a good little baby.

Skintchick - I did read up on lotus births, it's not for me (I'm with ur oh) but it is very very interesting.

Hope you are all doing ok.

    Congratulations!!! :T
