• How exciting Smartcat! Good luck :)

Thanks for people's advice earlier re pain in hip. MW said its most likely the baby pushing down on a nerve as she's very low down at the moment. So hopefully just a one off. Did have a trace of protein in urine though which is the first time. Other than that all seems to be good :)

Morning girls! I hope you are all ok?

I managed to notice a chip in our car windscreen yesterday evening and now the faff of sorting it out :( Autowindscreens can't come out until Thursday at the earliest and DH refuses to drive the car in the meantime in case we crack the screen - that would see the insurance excess jump from £25 to £80 :(

DH and I are off to Bath tomorrow overnight with my sister looking after Frog :) so we've arranged to hire a little car. DH has to take 2 buses and walk to collect this hire car :o

Looking forward to Bath though, we have evening tickets to the Thermae spa. I've even got a maternity swimsuit, it makes me look like a beached whale and I can't go in the steam room or sauna so will have to content myself with wallowing in the rooftop pool :D

Birdie, hate to worry you but I was induced with Frog and had to go on the labour suite, I wasn't allowed in the birthing centre, no water births etc :(

I am insanely jealous of your bath spa trip and am now googling to see if OH and I can go for the night sometime before baby comes :)

• Hope everyone is ok, has been a bit quiet on here tonight!! :) I've just been busy researching spa breaks :D

Icey which hotel in bath are you booked into? They all look so nice I'm finding it difficult to choose one!

Oh my god, I just had a couple of long killer contractions! I'm not looking forward to this. TMI alert, I even felt some show come. Hubbie is asleep and now I'm wondering if I should try and get my Tens machine on?

Hubbie and I have stayed at the Abbey Hotel in Bath the last couple of times. It's not the cheapest or the most unique but it's right in the centre which is great for a one night break and quite nice.

Delurking. Get it on Kynthia, it won't do any harm, I had a long drawn out labour and I uhmed and Ahhed about starting to use it, but they have loads of settings so you can always whack it up higher. I wish I'd put mine on sooner. /relurk.

Oh my goodness Kynthia. Starting to think I should perhaps get a tens machine ordered for hire just incase as Ive havent got round to it yet. Good luck for getting any sleep tonight!

Does it feel like a period pain or like a BH tightening type feeling?

I thought they'd stopped. Then suddenly at 10pm they became really nasty, a minute long and possibly 4ish minutes apart. Hubbie is in bed and suddenly I'm thinking I won't be able take this for hours!!! It's that really bad period pain feeling that makes you jump out of your chair, but with radiating tightness across the whole bump and down below. Im pacing when they come as sitting, even on my ball is too painful. I'll try and put the pads on myself as I don't want to wake hubbie as he was asleep on the sofa at 9pm he was that tired.

Sounds exciting Kynthia! :)

It's our 3 year wedding anniversary today and OH booked it off work at the last minute so we could spend it together since he's not on paternity leave as he'd expected! I wonder if bubs has been holding off so that we get to enjoy our anniversary... or if he's deciding to spoil it by arriving just as we think we're safe to go out for the day?!

So sick of people pestering me for news now. No wonder my poor baby's staying put, he must be feeling so much pressure off everyone to be born! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
