lollypopswater :j:j That's fab news! Must be a weight of your mind!
Lemon Tree sounds like you need to definitely take it a bit easier but understand it's hard when work piles on the pressure. Hope you manage to sort something and start feeling a bit better.
teaandcakeordeath Glad you are ok after slipping and at least you got a bit more clarity from the Dr. Hugs and positive thoughts that baby will move!
Love the pelvic floor reminder, great idea!
I can't remember who mentioned vests. Me being completely clueless, do babies where these AND baby grows? Also I keep reading about sleeping bags but conflicting info about whether they are suitable for new borns. What is everyone doing for bedding?0 -
Lilmiss-my 'normal' self says i'm being totally irrational and that of course i'll bond. New and improved crazy me is thinking of all the bad things and running with them (and probably making them up!) spent last night looking at buying a safety glass hammer in case i had a crash and couldn't get to baby and the car we t on fire. Seriously- that's not normal at all!
I blame general loopiness and a massive amount of sleep deprivation- 3 hours a night whilst getting me ready for baby does not do anything for my brain!

:rotfl: so glad you asked. Just realised I have vests but don't know the answer to this!
I was hoping to use gro bags but please other people let me know if that is a no-no?Met DH to be 2010

Laila- i think you do put them in vests and onesies. That's what i was told but that was by my mum who last did it 24 years ago!
I've bought a cot set but would rather use the sleep bags. Think you can use them as long as babies head doesn't slip through the neck. Got the set just in case baby is a tiddler or has oh's tiny head! :rotfl: also have 5 sleep bags to use if it has my massive swede!0 -
I agree with watching OBEM. I like the C-section ones as it helps to know what is coming. And I think it's good for DH to be aware of it too.
As you know I'm having a c-section, have had IVF, have had major surgery mid pregnancy and pretty much has some random poking around up there most weeks - except for my husband who isn't allowed! To be honest it hasn't crossed my mind to worry about it. It's just a way of getting the baby safely from inside of me to outside of me.
In the same way I'm not going to put pressure on myself to BF. I'll try, and I know there are benefits, but it's not worth worrying myself about if it doesn't work.
I'm not at all saying you shouldn't worry about it, just giving another perspective. Maybe I've accepted the medicalisation of things for longer and I'm more used to it - but to me each event was was just another step in the process. It probably helps too that I've had multiple major surgeries and they have all taught me that no matter how bad they are - you recover. It's not always easy, but after a relatively short period of time it is behind you, and that keeps me going. I use the phrase 'this too shall pass' quite a lot!
In a way I've even had a trial c-section and it was fine. The worst thing is getting your bowels moving again!! The stomach pain is very manageable within a week, and almost back to normal in 2.
I'm probably not helping here. I certainly understand stress and worry and fear a lot so you completely have my sympathies!! But as everyone says once the baby will here, the method of arrival will hopefully be the least of your concerns. Hugs.0 -

Everything's cumulative. Would be entirely normal if the impact of the last year was still rumbling into this. I don't normally stop to have hysterics when I'm driving. Plus pg is defo turning me into a paranoid android. I like to think of that as normal for being a new mummy to be
Yes sleep deprivation not helpful - we've got to get used to coping on that though  funny the loss of sleep is one of my scariest things as am so pants at it without a babyMet DH to be 2010

I want to get growbags too! Mainly as my friend used them up until the baby was at least 2 or 3 and is was great for making him know it was bedtime. Plus I think they look quite practical.
But I admit I have no idea when they are appropriate.
With my massive head (I can't buy any hats!!) I don't think a small head will be a problem.0 -
Jesus TCOD I didn't realise you had gone through so much. Sounds horrendous. Surely surely things can only get better from now on?!?! I totally understand your attitude now. Scary stuff xx0

Thanks t2d- I often think of you (that sounds creepy but bear with me) as a way to remind myself to crack on! I know it's not the end of the world- deffo have to work harder on not being so loopy! My counsellor turned 'this too shall pass' into my mantra last year- to the point i nearly had it tattoed on me! Got something else instead though.
This might help with sleep bags http://gro.co.uk/faqs/about-grobag-baby-sleep-bags0 -
God I am so freaking out about what I need to buy. We had this massive like MAHOOSIVE family wedding last week in Italy and I think we were always in our heads 'once the weddings over then we will crack on...'
Well the wedding is now over, and we are FREAKING OUT over what we need. Feel absolutely clueless. Only have 4 x bottles, steriliser, and some newborn nappies... other than that...
Still I sorted out borrowing a moses basket stand today (WHY OH WHY do they sell the stand and basket separately - how annoying). Just need to get the basket now.
Hopefully at weekend will start the decorating...
Sorry this is a bit of a random babble of panic!0
