Boo Firey, that doesn't sound nice at all :( I am really enjoying the heat at the moment but suspect that may not be the case in a few weeks time, especially if I have lots to do.

Saw the midwife today & baby is back to back :( I had suspected it for a few days, been reading everything on spinning babies, and currently sat on my gym ball in the hope that she'll get moving! Still this time last pregnancy midwife wasn't sure whether LO was head down or breech so this is a lot less concerning - I can still go to the midwife led centre which is what I was hoping for :)

Welcome to the new people :) xx

wow robots that is an amazing amount of stuff for £10! very MSE :D

ema_o that's a shame about being back to back :( just out of curiosity how many weeks are you and how did the midwife know? just by feeling your tummy?

off out for a meal for OH's birthday tonight, I'm looking forward to it because it's somewhere we've never been before as it's a tiny bit more expensive than our usual hang outs haha. decided to treat ourselves for his birthday and the fact that I don't think we'll be going out for food much in the next few months :D

Wow Robots that is a bargain!! Bet you could get more for them if you use them & sell them after!

I'm 34 weeks, and yes it was by feeling my tummy - she could tell head was down, then I think there was no obvious bum or curved back of baby, plus there is too much space around my belly button. I've been reading http://spinningbabies.com which I found fascinating figuring out what position baby is in. I thought it was strange that it stopped feeling like I had something stuck under my right rib!

Not sure if this has already been posted but you can get a free Mum & Me bump pack from Tesco Direct. Its says £3 but if you add it to the basket and it is free! You have to get it sent click & collect as delivery is not free. If it asks you for card details then just don't enter any!

    Hi daisiegg :j:j

Had my 24 week midwife appointment today, all is well and she confirmed the consultant has discharged me back to MW care so fingers crossed I will be going in the Birth Centre when the time comes

Ooh I hadn't actually thought of re-sale value! Cool! & some are brand new (the little lamb BtPs & 12 vlarge nappy cloths), & I've already lent a friend with a 10mth old the middle sized ones to try.

Re spinning babies - mine was always breach or transverse, midwife was getting a tad worried (Because I have a birth defect to my stomach muscles baby quite possibly wouldn't go/stay head down). I wasn't quite ready to try the full on spinning babies stuff, BUT because I had a horrid persistent cough for a month (another reason I wasn't online as I was so drained), I was sleeping very propped up & on my left. 3 night of this 3 baby turned on one go! :) weirdest feeling ever! The next day I had a consultant appointment & he was v pleased to record a note that baby was in the ideal position. This was at 33wks I think. So might be worth a try to turn from back to back?

Oh this doesn't work for me :( stays £3! Never mind

Yay for being discharged and birth centre :) I have my 24 week appointment tomorrow. Well, it is meant to be 25 weeks according to my notes but I booked it for tomorrow because I need to get my MATB1 form before 25 weeks and my midwife only does appointments every Friday afternoon, so by next Friday I would be 25+1 and would have missed the deadline to hand it in to work.

What happens at this appointment? Just another quick check like 16 weeks was?

Hello there, i'm only 20 weeks but lurking!

My DS1 was back to back and at my recent consultant appointment (ended up with a c sec) for this one he told me that lots of babies are back to back but 98% turn in the very early stages of labour. So you might not have anything to worry about but I guess following the spinning babies cant do any harm!

    Hi Daisie :)

Going to have my bloods done tomorrow, but I've been feeling a bit better today - managed to walk to work, though fairly slowly! I think I got some practice for being prodded with spiky things earlier. DH just had to extract a small piece of glass from my foot and patch me up, ow. Serves me right for trying to clean the kitchen floor. Clearly housework is far too dangerous...

DS has been talking about babies for the last couple of days and I think he may be getting to grips with the idea that there's a baby in my tummy. We're trying to keep the name a secret, but it's DS's choice, so I'm wondering how long it takes before he says something in front of family, as he does refer to the baby by name!

Going to collect a couple of wardrobes tomorrow as we'll need more storage space for clothes. Bargain £10 :) It's costing us more than that to get someone with a van to come and pick them up!

Oh boo, maybe they fixed it, I assume it was some kind of glitch.

Yes my appointment was much the same as the 16 weeks, wee test, blood pressure and listen to HB again. Apparently 28 weeks is the next one so they seem to be getting close together
