    Hello Everyone

Aww huge congrats on your lovely boy NDG - wonderful to see those pictures.

I hope everything went well with the birth of your little one, Mrs Happy.

Hello Any Name! We are also in decorating mode Any Name and Sophiasmum. I find it very exciting but it stresses OH out a lot to have the place in uproar. The hall has had a nice new coat of grey so far this weekend, but unfortunately it makes the glosswork look yellow and grim now. Ooops! One of the bikes is now wall mounted - not quite two as hoped as a bit of mis-measuring happened (or rather a complete lack of measuring as ofc some people don't need to measure or read any instructions :o).

The bike website that I bought the stands off rather majestically has a free 365 day returns policy - I'm really impressed. Now I can switch the wall stand for a floor one. Also, the person who was supposed to pick up our shed cancelled. I can't believe it, I thought it was going to be 6th time lucky!! All I want is a washing line!

Anyhow enough moaning here, things are good as all my travelling and presentations are now finished. Just three big work items on the list but I am going to get them out of the way little by little.

Robots, sorry to hear about your Mum's issues, sounds like you're dealing with things in just the right way. My Mum is a worrier, and she pushes her worries onto us sometimes. It's difficult to police those boundaries, especially feeling a bit vulnerable about all the change that comes with a new baby.

I'm feeling a lot more emotionally weird at the moment, I guess it is the hormones, but it's harder to bounce back and brush things off somehow. I see myself reacting in ways I wouldn't normally and it makes me feel a bit strange.

Mary - Glad to hear you got to see Prince, that sounds amazing! Hope your little girl arrives soon.

Anyway - hugs and nice week to all xx

Lara your dig at your OH re the instructions (or lack thereof) made me laugh! It's good you can just swap the stands with no problem though - it sounds like a very arty installation in your house!

thanks for your comment re the baby - me and hubby keep saying "oh my God there's going to be a baby girl here soon!"

we can't believe it, it's gone so quickly and this little baby is such a huge part of our lives yet we don't know what she looks like, we've never held her, we've just seen her on the scan.

I'm feeling pretty ok about everything now, I'm hoping that once she arrives everything will just slot into place, I'm more concerned about getting to grips with having two kids and the logistics of getting them both dressed and fed each day!

we're planning a little break too to spend some quality time with the both of them, I'm really looking forward to that :)

Aww its so exciting Mary, isn't it? I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and just counting the days to meet the little person.

I had a mw appointment today and she ordered more bloods for my 'risk assessment' at the birthing centre on Monday. I didn't realise if I have low iron levels I won't be allowed to labour there :(:(:( I really don't want to go to the main hospital - feeling quite gutted! I have been taking my iron tablets but not religiously as the Dr said one every other day is ok if the side effects are bad. Just got to cross fingers I guess (while eating spinach and beef :p)

Lara yes it is very exciting, it just seems so surreal too!

can you cram in a load of red meat before the next blood test? that should help.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    I'm back off hols :)

congratulations NDG and welcome Anyname :D

It was so hot and hilly in Lisbon I managed to lose some weight! I don;t know how much but my maternity summer trousers were digging in at the waist on the flight out, and not on the flight back :) That will help with post-birth weight loss!

I needn;t have bothered getting the fit to fly letter though - they didn;t ask to see it, and they weren;t bothered about my sharps either, so I wish we'd just lied about them and done online check in as on the way home we were sat apart :(

I did ask the single traveller sitting next to me and DD if he'd swap with my husband, but he refused because he wanted a window seat. And then went to sleep! I was really cross and tried to get DD to sit near him and eat loads of sweets!

Baby seems fine - lots of movement and Braxton Hicks, and I'm 30 weeks tomorrow. I thought on hols I could see some stretch marks coming but I moisturised like mad and they've gone - I'm hoping to avoid them again as I have a small bump and so am not too stretched.

Hope everyone is OK. Looking forward to more birth announcements (and moving up the list!).

    :)

glad to hear you had a lovely trip - good news about the weight loss that's a nice side effect of your holiday!

your plane neighbour sounds like a right a**ehole! you should have knocked a drink over his crotch while he was aslepp and blamed it on turbulence! or pretended to go into labour all over him. what a mean man!

omg - my back is really hurting...can hardly walk and cant weight bear on the one side :( Had this at 32 weeks - and it lasted a few days....its as if something is touching a nerve. So no labour now please! Let me get over this before the real pain happens. Has put paid to all of my house tidying plans anyway...have just ate a bar of chocolate and have a cup of coffee feeling sorry for myself!

Skint - glad you had a lovely holiday - I am randomly looking at holidays for next year, going to book as soon as soon as we know sex/name of baby :) We have booked Butlins for 18th July - going to to be brave and have our first long weekend away with all of the children.

No news from VickyViks ?? xx Mary?? Jen???
Chelsea - due date tomorrow :)

oh dear Sophia's mummy that sounds horrible :( are you on maternity leave now? can you get some rest whilst the other children are at school :(

maybe the baby is lying on a nerve or something?

I think it's safe to assume that VickyVics and MrsHappy must have delivered by now, not sure about Jen as I don't think I've seen her on here for a while but I'm still very much pregnant! xx

Oh no sophiasmum :( hope it eases soon. At antenatal classes we talked about coping strategies for pain and chocolate was top of the list so you're doing the right thing there :D

Funnily enough I was thinking the same about vickyvics! Ooh fingers crossed!

AFM spent the morning sorting out my hospital bag, still got a few bits to get though. It's starting to get very real now and I'm getting a bit nervous, and it's only going to take a few more births and I'm in the top ten  my parents go away at weekend so he can't arrive until they come back (I'll be 37+6 then)

Skintchick.. don't worry, you'll soon be flying up the list and wishing it would slow down!

    36+2 xx
