Oh wow, so exciting for you all, NDG, Vicky and Mary. Wishing for smooth and straightforward labours all around xx

Nothing much to report here... just did my last big presentation today and flying home tomorrow. That's my wings clipped, no more trips. It will be a relief. I have had a great fortnight but I'm really starting to get tired now and ready to step things down a gear. 34 weeks today :)

Exciting times with lots happening :)
I have been booked in for induction on Friday, due to the diabetes and high blood pressure they are just going for it at 38 weeks. The midwife tried to do a stretch and sweep this morning, managed the stretch part okay, but didn't get high enough for a sweep.
All of a sudden I feel so much better and am in a "bring it on" state of mind now. I have spent all afternoon trying to imagine what she will look like and being amazed that we will meet her this weekend.
Hubby seems to have been nesting-cleared out his wardrobe, did the massive pile of ironing and built the crib-while I played FB games!

Great news about your presentation Lara44 - is that your Phd all done now then? when do you get your results? now you can sit back and relax until the baby arrives :) xxx

I think NDG and Vicky must have given birth by now - I wonder if they were both on the same day - that would be awesome! :j

I had some more contractions last night - my back is just aching on and off now but last night I had about 6 or 7 contractions and 3 were in the space of 5 minutes!

that made me a bit suspicious because I thought it was too soon to go that close together but my husband was panicking everytime I made a whimper lol!

we went up to bed and just snuggled up with netflix in the background and I drifted off, woke up this morning and I feel fine so they must have just been practice ones. I think this little lady is playing games with us just like her brother did! :rotfl:

Haven't had (or now got) time to read anything, but Aethelbald (real name firming up, but not definite, yet) arrived at 5.43am on Monday morning (12th May). We got home yesterday, but I haven't touched my computer until now, and my mother's just arriving so I'll be quick now and post a photo and more details later.

When I posted to say I was in false labour, events turned out to prove me wrong - and so having started labour about 6pm on Sat, OH Isaac and I went to hospital on Sunday afternoon and it was definitely labour by then.

He's lovely, gorgeous, utterly wonderful, and has fair skin, reddish-brown hair, and is altogether rather sweet. I accept I'm a wee bit biased, but still in post-birth euphoria!

Did manage VBAC, by the skin of our teeth, forceps delivery with C-section about to follow immediately, which fortunately wasn't needed.

Hope my due-date-buddies Mary and Vicky are happy and healthy too.
