The last couple of nights I've woken up on my back! I've forgotten why this is bad but I'm sure it is! Do I need to discourage myself?0

Thankyou glimmerofhope. I think it's because I haven't been using my pregnancy pillow for the last couple of nights, will make sure I do!0

I'm 36+1 and still find myself waking up on my back. I have come to the conclusion that my body knows best and although i try and avoid conciously lying on my back my body will wake me/cause some kind of discomfort if i was causing any harm or restricting blood flow. It has only been the last few weeks that everything has been far to heavy to comfortably lie/sleep on my back and the 'guidelines' vary anyway.
Go with your instinct and trust your body!0 -
I agree, cllola - no point stressing about it, so if you try to lie on your side when you get into bed, and wake up on your back, no need to panic about it....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I've given up trying not to lie on my back cmace2. I'm not particularly big yet and it still feels comfy. I agree with cllola, if it hurt I'd stop doing it, your body is quite good at using pain to stop you from damaging it.
My sister has just had her baby boy so I've been out shopping for cute baby things. I've bought much nicer things than I've got for my baby. I think I feel less guilty spending on someone else!0 -
Hi all
Just a very quick update to say that my beautiful baby boy was born on Tuesday night by emergency section. We are now happily at home getting to know each other - it's bliss! He's the most amazing little bundle, I can't quite believe we made him.
Good luck to those on or approaching due date0 -

I know what you mean about working NDG - I like working too especially as I've had to get so many qualifications to get where I am, but still have a long way to go! we don't get any benefits or anything so I need to work too!0
