today I am meant to be at work but I asked if I could take annual leave as I was just having an office day. yesterday was a bad day for me, what with being shattered from the 2 hours of sleep for the past 3 nights, my legs hurting from the cramp, really painful PGP meaning I was limping everywhere, horrific heartburn, I felt absolutely horrible. went to the Trafford centre with OH for tea to cheer me up but ended up crying in the car on the way home as he said all id done was moan all night ha, which just made me think if you were feeling like this you would moan too! everything was hurting! I should have just gone to bed after work really.
anyway today will be spent trying to rest even though housework is calling me :-/
hugs... that's exactly how I feel today. I feel like I've pulled every muscle in my pelvis and that any minute something will snap, when I stand up I have to shuffle for about 5 minutes as I can barely walk, every now and then my right leg gets a nerve pain down it and then gives way. It takes me 10 minutes to climb into bed as every time I try and lift a leg it's agony. I keep getting cramp in my calves, when I sit up I'm terribly breathless and when I lie down I get chronic heartburn! Oh and OH gave me his cough! Proper feeling sorry for myself lol!
I finish work two weeks today and right now I have no idea how the heck I'm going to make it, I'm just wiped out!
Hope you ignored the housework and got some rest x0 -

And i had awful leg cramps a few weeks ago, but i think that was due to a lack of potassium and magnesium. Try eating dark chocolate and bananas, and drinking lots of water. i havent had any cramps since i started eating a 'nana a day and dark chocit's all for the vits and minerals of course. And OH isnt allowed to touch my chocolate as i've told him it's medecine
thank you for the tips! iv had 2 bananas today to try and up my potassium. and currently on a water kick, I should drink more water anyway.sunshine81 wrote: »hugs... that's exactly how I feel today. aw, I'm glad relieved somebody feels the same as me but also feel sorry for you because it's horrible isn't it! and I keep thinking iv got 8 weeks to go! to be fair this is the first time in my pregnancy I have felt bad at all. I finish work on the same day as you! and know exactly how you feel about how I'm going to make it through ha! luckily my manager has given me 'easy' shifts, no long days or 12 hours etc. I can't wait to finish.
apparently I'm incapable of resting as I touched up the paint in the nursery and tidied upstairs, and hoovered the entire house. but I did get a lie in until 11ish which has made me feel a lot better
32+1
edited to add iv found my first red stretch mark tonight! I thought id managed to avoid them by being good with the moisturiser haha.0 -

Hi samtoby,
I've not yet officially joined this thread yet (think I'm still a little bit in denial-26+4), but I too had a miscarriage before this pregnancy and found it difficult not to be paranoid this time round.
I conceived almost exactly the same time of year as I did before which means the due dates are 1 year, 3 days apart. I feel guilty for looking forward to having this little one because I feel I should be mourning my first; I'll never, ever forget her and I think I'll always have a moment on that day to think of her.
It's a very difficult thing to balance the emotions of losing a little one, and being excited for this one too, and then throw in the guilt and it's nigh on impossible!
I also found it much more difficult at the start of this pregnancy knicker watching and just generally being paranoid, especially when it came to the anniversay of the miscarriage.
So, I try to take one day at a time and try to focus and enjoy being pregnant and consider how lucky we are to have been given a second chance-it's unlikely we'll ever have another (IVF success after 5 years TTC).
Thank you for your kind words. I think after you have had any type of miscarriage, in your mind you won't be comfortable until baby is in your arms.
Come on over and join the thread, offically!

Happily Married since 20160 -
Thanks everyone for your support over my wobbling. I am feeling ok today. Midwife was sick yesterday so ended up having to go to the Hospital for my appointment. Bump still measuring big but as I have had a scan no concerns. Been a bit 'damp' but think this is my failing bladder - please tell me this isn't just me its happening to.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Glad you feel better today Samtoby, I'm telling myself that my dampness issue at the moment is caused by sweating as I am roasting all the time, and normal discharge, which I have been told increases at this stage. I'm just ignoring the possible bladder aspect.
Last day at work today, eeek, how did that happen so quickly?0 -
Hope you have a good last day Mrs Happy
Plenty to look forward too - and you wont know how you managed to fit in work next week!!!
DH put up cotbed yesterday - very real! Much bigger than I remembered as well...I ordered a new cot bed mattress which will be delivered Tues. Day off housework/sorting for me today - going to the local retail park with my friend for some retail therapy and coffee
x
PS - Dampness?? SamToby?? Don't know what on earth you mean! Ha ha!0 -
Yep dampness here too, also putting it down to being so hot all the time.
Off to supermarket shortly to stock up on iron rich food and grab a few bits for hospital bag.
miserable day here so may come back and have a nap while DS is at inlaws.Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
