Been to get measured for my nursing bras. At the weekend I went to Debenhams and when she told me my size (38D) and gave me a bra to try on I nearly cried (I partly blamed the hormones). It look terrible, was ill fitted and when I put a top on over the top it look like I had long stretched sausage like boobs going across my chest. I flat out refused to take any of the bras she got me. This morning I went to Mothercare (figured they must measure on a daily basis) and the lady gave me a much better fit (34G). A lot more in line with every other bra I have ever owned! My boobs actually look like boobs. Will happily wear these bras.
aw that's good Vickyvics. I had the same experience in debenhams. she measured me as a 36G (previously from a 36DD!) and brought me such horrific looking bras I nearly cried, they were the most unattractive things iv ever seen. I don't understand how you can wear bras with no support in pregnancy when your boobs are the biggest they've ever been! ha. still not managed to sort it though...might go to mothercare0 -
Hi all
I'm 25 weeks tomorrow and the past couple of days haven't really felt baby moving around so much. Used to be regularly late morning and then again around 10pm I'd get a half hour period of lots of movement and what felt like little kicks but these haven't been there - just an occasional kick.
I know baby is getting bigger now so there's less room so is this why or should I be concerned?
Thanks0 -
Have you had a lie down on your left side and had a cold drink or something sweet? They often say that helps get some movement going. Failing that, ring whatever number you've been given Raspberry Swirl, I was told that you need to alert them if you don't experience the movements that are normal for you. They might just give you a bit of reassurance if nothing else.
I went into maternity triage at 26 weeks as I hadn't felt movement all morning when it's usually an active time. They were a little uneasy, I think their machines are better after 28 weeks, but I still went, the midwives were lovely and I went on a monitor for 30 minutes and got the reassurance that he was fine, in fact they kept losing the heart rate as he was moving about!
Same again last Saturday at 31+6 I went in, I just felt like I'd lost his pattern of movement, again on a monitor and all was well. He was going wild, it was like he could feel the monitor on him!
In summary, always better safe than sorry x0 -

Thanks Sunshine. Think I'll see how the movement is this evening and then if it's the same reduced pattern I'll go in tomorrow morning.
Whenever they've listened for hb at hospital or Dr's it takes an age to find and then it's gone again as there's a lot of movement in there usually - even though I don't feel it all the time. I've just had a couple of little bumps so hopefully she's just having a lazy couple of days!0 -
Wow 34G! I have found a lot of the bras horrid - make you look all 'pointy' if that makes sense?
What were the Mothercare prices like?
I got a pack of two for £30 so not too bad. There is a plain white lacy type one and a pink lacy type one. They are not what I would normally wear but much nicer than the ones I was shown in Debenhams. They were horrifically ugly.0 -
Becsxxx - I was told as close to your due date as possible. I am 37 weeks at the moment. I have to admit that I wanted to get it done so that my hospital bag is complete lol. Feel much more reassured that I am ready now. x0

I'd definitely try the something sweet/cold raspberry swirl. iv had a couple of times where I've worried about movement but things in the past that have worked is a snickers and one time I had an ice lolly! x0

Rasberry, I was told to have a cold drink.and lie on my left side for an hour and count 10 movements any less I had to call labour wardTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
