My parents live in about as far from a newbuild as you can get - their house dates from 1320-ish!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Wow! Must be a cottage then? Oldest building I lived in was built in 1810 and listed. It was damp and a nightmare to heat. We swore we'd never do it again.
Feeling super tired today, the past two nights have been the first where I've had to get up twice for the loo... Guess that's not too bad going really.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -

A wealden hall house, in mid Kent; timber frame and plaster, with a brick shell added in the 16th century over the top. Bits added over the years, such as a floor in the middle, chimneys, etc. And running water and electricity, by my parents, about 9 years ago when they bought it!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Morning ladies,
Happy Mother's Day!
Hope everyone is having a lovely mothers' day.
Well, I'm sorry to moan but this rhinitis is getting on my nerves! Last night I went through half a box of tissues alone, my ears are blocked, nose is constantly running and my eyes are streaming today. I was in tears last night, fed up of it already! Got to give nasal spray few more days to kick in though according to doc on Friday. It's at the stage when I have to pull over when driving to deal with the nose!! I'm contemplating going back to doctors tomorrow. Anyone have any experience of this?
We found out yesterday at our gender scan that we are team blue! Boy names wise we have been thinking about using one name from each of our grandads so: Sidney Maurice
This does actually happen to fit well with our surname too and as we are both teachers they're only names we don't know someone already with! Opinions are welcome.
Hope you have a good day all.

Happy mother's day everyone!
I went for my 33 week apt yesterday and the midwife finally managed to get a blood sample! I took my son with me and when the mmidwife asked for a urine sample he said "ugh mum, why does she want your wee?!" She gave me two bottles, one for now and one for the next appt, and he said "she only wants you to wee in one? Hmm, maybe she wants to play spot the difference!"
It was so funny until he tripped over a wire for the scales and it knocked some of the casing off the machine (luckily it just clipped back on!) Then he went and lay on the examination bed in a strop and refused to talk to me or the midwife anymore!0 -
Happy Mothers Day,
I'm exhausted today, probably from all the sorting out and skipping yesterday. But have had a lovely meal with my family and now sitting on the sofa watching some of Dollhouse on Netflix.
Have started packing my hospital bag. Have managed to collect pretty much all of the baby things so it is just the last bits of my hospital bag and then I will be ready I think. I'm hoping I will be a bit better and a little bit 'more ready' once that has been done.0 -
Congratulations on the recent births Lush and bellola.

Happy 30th for yesterday firey and happy birthday for tomorrow NDG
Hope the problems with your house get sorted before baby comes Eiteews
Happy Mother's day to all those who already have children!
I took DS away for a few nights last week, it had been booked for a while, OH couldn't get the time off work but I thought I'd be fine on my own as I'm only 25 weeks. In hindsight it was a rather stupid decision as I couldn't keep up with DS and at one point a lifeguard had to pull him out of the swimming pool as he'd jumped in before I caught up with him. Took him to the beach, he ran excitedly towards the sea and I only just caught him before he got to it. We did have a lovely time, although I've never been so pleased to see OH as I was when we go back.
I've said I won't be taking any more mini-breaks before baby gets here even with OH now, I'm starting to struggle now with bending, and my bump has really sprouted the last few days. Was out with friends last night and they were saying I have a proper pregnancy bump now.
We've had a lovely day today, took OH's mum for a country pub lunch for Mother's Day and we went for a little walk in the countryside too. OH wouldn't let me walk too far, but we still did over 4 miles, which I'm pleased about because at this stage with DS I was struggling to walk full stop.
Back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off, not looking forward to getting up early, but only 2 months left as I start Maternity leave at the end of May0
