Didnt you get a 25 week appt?
I think the schedule in the NICE guidance has nothing between 16 and 28 weeks unless you're a primip. Though my trust do everyone at 25 weeks and offer a 20 week one as an extra in case people want to listen to the heartbeat as they don't listen for it at 16 weeks - they seem to be very zealous about giving lots of antenatal appointments.

She also did mrsa swabs, as the hospital Im going to is mrsa free.

Then went through some of the list of stuff in the notes, asked if I had any questions about pain relief etc, and told me about this new feeding class at the local hospital.

Oh and when she did the heart beat, she moved the doppler about so we could check if the head has moved down or not, and she's sure it has now so baby is no longer breech so I am very pleased about that!

yay for the baby no longer being breech :)

I hope your MRSA swabs don't come back positive, not because it's dangerous for you or baby but I got swabbed for it at 12 weeks, they didn't tell me the results til last week (9 weeks later!) it came back I was carrying it in my nose which I wasn't surprised about as I work with children that are in and out of hospital all the time. but the arranging treatment for it has been a right farce, iv seen a GP and 2 different consultants! been a right pain

Nope- second baby and low risk so I've had a booking in, 16 weeks and will have 28 week, 34 weeks then every 2 weeks until birth I believe. I sometimes feel a little neglected as it will be 3 months since I saw anyone regarding my pregnancy at my next appointment but I guess I should look at it as a good thing, no news is good news right?

Landlords have just left, it's safe to say the victory is ours and they have retracted their notice and we have negotiated as needed. I still feel a little bitter that it has all happened though, so much unnecessary stress! we are hoping to buy soon so will get great pleasure from handing our notice in!

I hope all those feeling rubbish are better soon! ((Hugs))

Had the agent been outright lying or was it half truths?

Ah thats makes sense if its your 2nd I think my area cuts out a couple of appts for 2nd child too.

Yep Claire I won't see her until 41 weeks. I am seeing consultant next week but that's still 3 weeks between appts! She hasn't discussed anything my notes say she should & to be honest if we hadn't done NCT I'd be panicking right now!

Glad you got on ok at your appt, your mw sounds lovely :)

    37+2

Wow thats a long gap although like you say you are seeing consultant. I wonder why they arent giving you a 40 week one.

Yeah I really like her, I really feel like I can trust her. It would be great if she was at the hospital when I deliver but chance is small.

She told me a funny story today about a Dad fainting on her at the weekend when he saw the placenta come out. She said luckily another midwife was in the room with her, otherwise she would have had to have propped him up and her hands had blood on them so probably would have knocked him out even more lol!

I had them done a year ago when I had the miscarriage and erpc in hospital, and then when I had bleeding in November so Id be extremely shocked if it came back positive.

What was the treatment for it? I asked the midwife what would they do if you had it and she said the only thing they can do is give you a scrub? I didnt want to look like an idiot by asking what exactly is that!

No he had been lying and we all know it but the landlord seems to be very loyal to him and just brushed it off. Anyway it was amicable in the end and we at least don't have to move out for now. I want to though as it's just annoyed me so much!

It's amazing how different trusts operate so differently with their policies etc!

it's a cream that you put in your nose and a body wash/foam thing that you use in the shower! I haven't started my treatment yet, I feel like there's no point as iv got another 15 weeks to work, if I get rid of it now I'll probably get it again before I have the baby! frustrating.

Today I've wasted about 3 hours trying to figure out Photoshop and given up! :o I just wanted to figure out how to make a cute birth announcement picture when Baby Bird finally arrives but it's just not happening! :(

Once you have photoshop figured Birdie creating stuff gets easier. I think I almost threw the laptop out the window when I first started using it though!

Given up on Photoshop, not really in the correct frame of mind to be figuring it out right now! Downloaded some digital scrapbooking software and played with that instead, much easier. :) Made some cute birth announcements using some freebie downloaded scrapbook stuff... now I just have to give birth and get the details and picture to go on it! :o

Glad the house stuff is sorted Cllola, what a farce!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Becca, I saw the consultant last Thursday, at 37+1 for a growth scan and apt, then he booked me in for a sweep at 40+1 (2 weeks tomorrow)
I saw the midwife yesterday at 37+6, and she's booked me in for next Tuesday, 38+6.

Sorry to all those having a bad day with aches and pains. My bump has been tight and sore all day and I'm fed up with it now. I started thinking earlier that at least it's no more than 4 weeks (if I went overdue and had an induction at the end of that time) and then I wanted to cry at the thought it could be so much longer this uncomfortable!

The appts do seem a bit random sometimes. I was consultant led with my first so had a load more input last time. There are massive gaps between appts with a second baby.

I saw mw yesterday, she asked me to book in at 40 weeks even though the orange notes say 41... either this is standard here or she's just worried about my bp which went high at the end of my last pregnancy, although only once I was overdue and I'm really hoping that doesn't happen again!

I spent 1 hour a week at Uni for 3 years learning photo shop and if I had to use it now I'd have barely any idea!

I'd like to have it at home but it's so expensive. Unless there is some kind of edited version you can get?

Cllola you'd think that land lord would switch agents!
