Daisiegg so sorry that you still don't have any answers if it was me I'd be back there first thing to get scanned as soon as possible.

Monty really happy that your scan went well.

We were the opposite and have decided to have whatever tests are offered but I think it's mainly because we're already at risk of me passing on my neurological condition so want to be as prepared as possible. We did the research though rather than panic agreeing.

Good luck tomorrow daisy. I'd be back first thing too. Hopefully the bleeding continues to ease off which is the best sign. I had a bright red bleed early on and it's terrifying.

I remembered today that I have almost £150 worth of points on my boots reward card. I was always looking for a special occasion to spend them, and so tomorrow I think I will but myself that snugglebundl I linked through to the other day. Scary to take a 'real' step but it's probably time!

Really overdid it today and came home feeling so tired. Like being back in the first trimester. Had to have a two hour sleep, and in ready to go back to bed again now. I've got a very annoying head cold, regular sneezing and blocked nose which means I have to mouth breathe. I keep waking up with a super dry mouth and it's been going on for about 10 days. Any tips on treating it?? Back to work properly next week after today's trial day, and I need to be feeling better...

Good luck today daisee thinking of you xxx

T2D I've also been waking up with a dry mouth. Have no advice about preventing it but am keeping a pint of water next to the bed so I can have a good drink when I wake.

Daisie, I'm sorry to hear that they weren't very helpful yesterday. Hope you managed to get some sleep last night x

On Wednesday we got up to find our 3 chickens had been killed by a fox :( It was horrible. Just to make the day even worse, we then got a call to say DH's uncle had died. I made it into work yesterday, after taking Wednesday off, and just trying to keep busy really. DS keeps looking outside and saying 'Chickens, gone. Fox eaten!' so that's not really helping. Hoping that he will forget soon... or at least stop telling us about it. We won't get any more chickens until the building work is finished at least, possibly leave it until next year when we're not dealing with a newborn and sleep deprivation too.

My normal coat stopped fitting yesterday. I have got the maternity coat out and it's huge. I feel like I'm wearing a tent. I can't imagine getting that big! I'm sure I wasn't with DS... My uterus has reached my belly button now, at 19+6, and I think that's made my bump expand quite a bit as well.

Back from the hospital. They can't scan me until Tuesday! Did an internal examination and cervix is closed and uterus feels soft. Bleeding has stopped. The doctor would not listen for the heartbeat as she said she is only a junior doctor and can't do it without a registrar present, and there was not one in the department today. I have a midwife appointment anyway this afternoon (16 week appt though I am 17+1) and I am going to go to that and hope she can listen for the heartbeat then.

Having to wait until Tuesday for a scan feels horrendous. We have even rung the place where we had our private early scan to see if they have any appointments before but they don't. So just going to have to hang in there. Doctor didn't seem too worried. Just said to go back if bleeding gets worse or if there is bad pain.

Gosh so stressful Daisy. How crazy they can't even do a doppler check! It's so annoying when you know they can probably do something but it feels like you cant get help. Good luck this afternoon though - perhaps she can refer you to the EPU for a scan.

AFM I'm still really struggling with this cold. I never get sick (well... apart from the cancer'n'stuff), so I'm not used to just feeling this rubbish and not being able to do anything. I'm taking a few paracetemol, only 1 every 12 hours or so which helps, but I don't like taking too many. Oh course, if I was a man this would be 'flu, but I'm hoping it's just a cold!

ETA: On a slightly less whiney note, I did buy a bunch of things from boots online today. Clothes, blankets, muslins and the snugglebundl. All on my advantage card points. Will be a bit real when they show up! Getting excited.

That's rubbish Daisy and I think it's quite disgusting that they can't scan you until Tuesday. Hope the midwife goes OK this afternoon and hopefully she can do a HB check for you. Glad the bleeding has stopped.

T2D, hope you feel better soon xx

Daisiegg - thanks for the update and I'm glad the bleeding has eased up. It would have been great if they'd scanned you straight away, but in some ways it can be reassuring when the medics don't act immediately - makes me think that perhaps they're not desperately worried so perhaps I shouldn't be. Maybe it's just me - but when my Dr isn't in a rush to sort something (even non pg-related) out I can find it more reassuring than the time they called me an ambulance from the GP surgery (turned out to be appendicitis and they were right to do so, this was before I was pg).

I would DEFINITELY mention it to the MW this afternoon, and ask them to try to find the heartbeat. But please try not to be disheartened if they won't or cannot find it - my MW said that they often can't find bump's heartbeat before 20-24 weeks or so and they won't try to because it can cause real panic if they can't find it even though this might be perfectly normal.

Let us know how you get on.

    Bumblebee x (*relurking*)
