Good luck with your scan any name are you finding out the sex?

As for maternity trousers they are tricky creatures. I was limited to choice due to being petite but found some jersey ones from next on eBay that are over bump and they only really started fitting properly a few weeks ago, even though my bump is pretty mahoosive it still wouldn't hold them up if you see what I mean? My other pair which are over bump stretchy panel and normal material below still feel in danger of slipping down as they have nothing but the bump band to hold them up. I found them to fit over my bump but be loose on the small of my back . Hope that helps?

I have bought a couple of pairs of these:
    http://www.newlook.com/shop/maternity/shop-department/maternity-32in-black-over-bump-tailored-trousers-_281986101

Although they are still a little big around the bum and legs the over bump part fits fine and the waist has those elastic button things so early on you need a top to cover where they are bunched. These are by far the best fitting ones of the roughly 10+ pairs I tried.

I have two different pairs of over bump New Look maternity trousers too and find them to fit very well. I also have a pair of Peacocks maternity trousers and these are ok too but look a bit more frumpy!

hi we got our results back yesterday, we're low risk but 1:2566. was going to google what was really low risk until I read your message so I will step away from google. Had a mooch around town today on way back from OH's hospital appointment, really struggling to find evidence of maternity wear for people size 20 or above, will have to have a look online but not a clue where to start.
I've had to start testing my sugars this week :( so far they have all been below the necessary limits but I'm sure I will have to continue to do it for the rest of the pregnancy, which is sooooo not fair! if I could take the gtt then I would just do that, pass it and nothing else would happen but because I can't do it I have to keep testing.

unfortunately most maternity wear is available on line I know next, DP, Topshop, H&M, Debenhams, JL, New Look and ASOS all do but I don't know the size ranges. Also it might be worth checking out ebay

Lilmiss, I agree the numbers are low and you are right, they are well below 1% chance but like lemon tree said - human nature. I'm not unduly worrying about it like yesterday.

Lemon tree - some items of N3xt maternity go up to size 22. I've just ordered some clothes from them and one of the dresses I want is sold out - nooooooo.

Silly question: is it easy to tell if maternity clothes will fit pre- bump? It is silly as I already have an occasion maternity dress. But is it the same with trousers?

Most maternity trouser come with a built in bump band that stretches as your bump grows. They tend to be a little big at first! Trousers and shorts tend to be either over or under bump it's worth trying both as depending on your bump you will probably find one more comfortable than the other! most retailers say to use your pre- pregnancy size as to what size to go for.

Good luck with the scan anyname!

Lilmiss, yes I will need a letter. My midwife has booked me in for my 28 week appointment a week early so I can get it signed before I fly.

The builders have arrived and we have big holes in our lawn! DS is sooo excited about the digger, he said 'night night digger' to it when going to bed, which was just so cute. Only a few more months and we'll have a lovely house again. Our poor cat was so upset by the noise that she poo'd in DS's bedroom on the carpet, so she had a house move last night. I'm sure she'll have a lovely holiday at my Dad's house! It was so strange though, waking up to a cat-less house this morning.

    Just checking in from Boston!

My belly has ridiculously popped over the last couple of days. It is still not becoming a nice hard round bump...just a giant FAT belly :( but suddenly I have to pee all the time, and I seem to only be able to eat half the portion sizes I could before, because I get really full and uncomfortable very quickly. Guess that means uterus is growing? But worst of all, overnight stretch marks sprung up over my entir belly...horrible bright red stretch marks :( argh!

Just wanted to share that with you all...hope everyone is well and having a good week!
