Great to hear of a speedy recovery auntie pickle, I was wondering how things had gone.
I feel like I am coming out of the nausea/tiredness of the first trimester, it's great to start feeling like myself again.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150 -
thanks everyone. It was the best scan ever (in terms of reassurance)!!! The picture was kind of rubbish (they could only scan the side of me 'cos of the wound) but just to see baby was ok and hear the heartbeat was amazing!!!
anyway, I now am trying to cope with being constipated - I'm sure abdominal surgery and painkillers doesn't help. Any tips anyone?! I am trying to drink lots (water) but I am also sleeping a lot which obviously means I'm not drinking if I'm sleeping!Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Where is everyone? Hopefully all having lovely relaxing weekends!
Ahhh your scan sounds lovely Missy!! Well done on staying team yellow and not giving into temptation!!
Glad your scan went well Bubble Pops, hope you're feeling better and getting the support you need. Yay for another bundle of pink!!
Hope you're doing ok Carrot, I don't think you'd feel proper kicks at the mo as bubbas are still quite small, the squirming sounds about right tho!! Don't get too disheartened by the movement thing.
Hope the headaches have eased Princess K and the week away from work has been full of rest and relaxation.
Glad all went well worth the op auntie P, hope you've been taking it easy and are being well looked after.
Glad the first trimester trauma is over Jedi and you're beginning yo feel better.
Afm, not a huge amount to report, have the 20 week scan tomorrow which I'm getting nervous/excited about! Hopefully we'll be able to find out if we are team blue or pink! Eeeeeeeeeeek!!0 -
Good luck for your scan tomorrow Always, hope baby behaves & allows you to find out!
Headaches do seem to have eased, still not sleeping great, waking in the early hours for an hour or more, very frustrating! But at least I've been able to take it easy while being off work, got a beef casserole cooking & going to sort a bit more of the random items that are cluttering up what will be the nursery, eventually!0 -
Mother in law said today if you have a girl You will need new vests etc (my first was a boy) I said no not really I have kept all of Nialls stuff and as we didnt know he was a boy until he was born, all our 0-3 months stuff is unisex, I also brought mostly unisex vests up till 18m thinking ahead incase I had a second child and also because I don't like the boy blue and girl pink thingy.
I have warned her if I have a girl minimal pink as I hate the colour.
Little bird is a really nice range mothercare do, and it's pretty unisex, I am always buying stuff in the sale from that collection.
I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

16 weeks today, started to feel flutterings and movements this week which is lovely.
The stretching is something else though, I've lost weight since my last baby so imagine that's why my tummy needs to stretch more but it hurts!
Glad your op went well Pickle!

Hi everyone,
Really glad you're home and it all went ok, AP. Plenty of rest now for you, that you're reassured, mrs!!!
Thanks missymoo, it was great. Just looked at my scan paperwork, though, and it blamed me having high BMI for the difficult scan, so having a few wobbles with the eating disorder tonight due to that.
As I was on meds when I got pregnant, I get another two growth scans in January, which I'm really pleased about-not gonna turn down a chance to see her again!!
She's crazy active at night too-my OH actually felt her the other day-his face was just fantastic!! I think it was a bit of a fluke of circumstance, but amazing nonetheless!!
Had a bit of a shove from a tantrumming toddler, and some serious pains, so ended up at the hospital last night. Terrifying is NOT the word
Thankfully everything's ok, although she kept dodging the Doppler, then spent the entire time Kicking it, so they couldn't monitor the heart rate!! :rotfl: even the midwives said she's going to be a horror!!
Good luck for tomorrow, always -I'll be keeping a lookout.
I love little bird, Jedi! It's beautiful!!
