I also cant keep up with wether i feel sick and starving. This morining i ate 4 slices of toast on waking up and later ate lunch but while i was cooking dinner i felt really quiesey and light headed and the idea of eating made me feel worse but i kept cooking and felt a bit better by the time it was ready. I was able to eat it but now 1 hour later in starving again!!!!! I cant keep up!

    Morning ladies.

Just wanting to bump our thread up - don't know what's going on with the board.

Had 1st appointment with consultant on Thursday. Was great to see the kids again.

All seems fine but as I'm heading on holidays on Thursday this week need to take extra precautions with the flight. Looking forward to relaxing for a week though.

I'm wondering if I am now getting too big for how far along I am. I'm 17weeks (twins) and just feel like I am growing almost daily. I'm sure it's cause I'm brewing two but I seem to be bigger than friends were at this stage. I don't seem to be adding weight anywhere else (such as thighs, butt, etc) but I certainly don't want to be putting on too much either.

Hope you all have a lovely Monday.
  • Can anyone help,me with weight gain please? I've put on about half a stone so far and am only 14 weeks! Midwife is,telling me I'm gaining too much but I don't eat particularly unhealthy just am eating more than I was coz I'm constantly hungry. I'm aware if I gain too much il,have problems shifting it once baby is born but short of starving myself and making myself I'll I don't no what to do :( xxx

Trixie - 7 pounds in 14 weeks is next to nothing in my opinion! If that continues, you'll only gain 20 pounds total in pregnancy, and their recommended minimum (no matter how overweight you are - for example, my BMI was 51 at booking in) is 15 pounds.

I think that midwife needs to look at the numbers again and shush!

I say, eat when you are hungry, try to make healthy choices, but give in to cravings - even if it's only a bit. I've found that if I have a craving and don't give in, I'll end up grazing and eating more in the end than I would have if I'd have just had what I was craving! :rotfl:

Also, anyone have any idea why the signatures are really messed up today?!

  • I noticed on 1 of the other boards a LOT of spamming had been going on, I assume it's something to do with that?

the MSE Mods have been doing stuff to try and stop the spamming and one side effect are all the !!!! that keep appearing. They say they are sorting it out.

Thank you for that :) I'm well aware I'm not a supermodel but I'm only slightly overweight for my height and comfortable with that.i no the midwives have to make you aware of risk of diabetes etc but there's a tactful way to go about it! I do give into my cravings, I searched all over birmingham on Saturday for a sausage sandwich when I was out at work :) but this morning I woke up,craving cornflakes so it's not all unhealthy stuff lol
I was wondering the same coz when I logged on earlier I couldn't read any of the posts either! Xxx

Just got back from a Pilates class. I had paid for 4 sessions up front (up until half term - fortunately not the whole term) and when I booked it I explained that I was pregnant and please could they check with the instructor that she would know and that was ok as I know there are several exercises not suitable for pregnant women etc etc. I was told yes yes, that's fine, blah blah blah.

So I turn up tonight and guess what.... instructor doesn't know. And she isn't trained in pre-natal pilates. And has no experience of it. She asked me if I knew which exercises I should avoid!

I stayed, just because I was there but sat most of them out. I don't know what to do know - whether to go back or not. Just really frustrated as I was looking forward to it :(

  • Hi ladies, been a bit AWOL recently, been reading and lurking but not posting. I've had a really uneasy feeling that something was gonna go wrong with baby, don't know what but just haven't been feeling right. Had a 16 week appointment today with the MW and we were able to hear the heartbeat which was SO reassuring so keeping my fingers x'd that everything is indeed ok. I'm probably being a paranoid pansy but haven't been able to shake the feeling :/

Oh Aunty Pickle how blooming annoying!! Can you get your money back? I'd defo complain too!!

I think a few pages back someone spoke about 'thunder stealing' I scan totally relate! My friend us due 5 days after me and I'm so pleased for her, she suffered an ectopic last year so it really was fab news but (and this is gonna sound awful) she really thinks she's the guru on everything pregnancy related!! Drives me insane esp as we've both already got kids so have been through it!!:mad: When I had ds a close friend of mine was due 2 days after me, I ended up having ds 5 weeks early and she went 2 weeks over but she constantly compared the 2 children and would always make little comments about what hers was doing and mind wasn't (ds was very lazy!!) and unfortunately we ended up drifting apart as I couldn't stand the competitiveness and bragging whilst I was also worrying about ds' development :(

Anyways, well done if you've managed to get through all that!! :rotfl: hope everyone is doing ok
  • It's such a worrying time Always Alone isn't it? I think until you have a proper bump & can feel baby moving regularly it's so easy to wonder is everything ok? We're having another scan (private) on saturday, when I'll be 15+3 so hoping for better pictures than our NHS 12 week one & another chance to check everything is ok. I've been quite good as I've tried to stop worrying as much or at least thinking about it but it is hard. Glad you got to hear babies haeartbeat at your appointment, must be so reassuring!
