Hi all, a message for those in the South/near Bluewater...
I just got an email from Emma's Diary offering 200 pairs of free tickets to the Baby & Toddler show in Bluewater this weekend. You need to follow the link below and quote ED18 in the promotional codes section. I think they went quickly last time for the Manchester one, so its worth checking soon if you are interested. Hope it works for you!

Great news pickle & great for you to see & hear baby! Very reassuring! x0

Morning all
Just wanted to wish you good luck for your scan today Mrs TM. Looking forward to hearing if baby's pink or blue!
I'm at my hospital now for the maternity medicine clinic. Pretty sure it'll just be me telling them how I am so hopefully it's over quickly and I can get to work at a half decent time!
I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow so that should be nice and then a consultant scan on Monday when I'm really hoping she can get a peek at baby's bits!
We're off to London this weekend as my DH is running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for Tommy's. He's not too far off raising £1000 so he's done really well
So I probably won't get chance to update til Monday but I'll keep reading regularly and looking forward to your updates.
Oh and I'm 15+4 today and pretty sure I'm feeling baby moving every day nowTake care all x

Great news Pickle! Shame about the C section but great that baby looks good and it shouldn't cause any trouble!
Well I've had a busy morning, been up at the hospital to get checked over. I'm 22 weeks now and used to feeling baby move everyday now and felt it pretty much all day on sat and sun. Then Monday was a lot less and yesterday nothing! Tried a bath last night and juice this morning followed by a lie down where I really concentrated and didn't feel anything plus I started getting a few cramps so I rang my antenatal unit. They said to go in and get checked so I did! It took ages to find the heartbeat but it was there and all seems ok. You could even hear a couple of kicks on the doppler but I couldn't feel a thing. It seems baby may have moved or my placenta has grown and it's covering baby but they won't scan until 28 weeks for reduced movement so I don't really have an answer. All the midwives agreed it was weird to go from all day movement to nothing and so I'm under orders to pay attention to potential movements today and if still nothing to go back tomorrow. I'm sure I'm just being a paranoid first timer but not feeling very reassured. Here's hoping I feel something soon - not going into work so I can rest and pay attention for the day0 -
Hope you feel something soon Nicky.
I'm 23 weeks tomorrow and still not feeling much. I have an anterior placenta so blaming that, the Dr couldn't believe I couldn't feel her somersaulting around last week at my scan. I do feel occasional rumbles, but not many definite kicks. Hoping to be able to decipher a pattern eventually but trying not to worry in the meantime, even though it's hard.
I bought a Doppler, but trying not to use it for reassurance and purely for entertainment!!0 -
Hope all goes well at your appointments Tilly, amazing that you can feel baby already!
I'm glad you managed to get reassurance Nicky, I can imagine that would be worrying if you suddenly couldn't feel anything. Hope you start to feel some movement again soon0 -
Off to a mother care expectant parent evening tonight, not sure what to expect but theres a goodie bag & hopefully chance to have a proper look & think about what we actually need.
Just back from BMI clinic, fat club for pregnant women. Apparently the midwife didn't know why I'd been asked so early & all she basically said was don't eat for 2. Seeing as I'm still being sick, not as much but still, I'm going with eating what I fancy & feel ok eating. Lost over half a stone since I found out I was pregnant so I'm obviously not doing too bad!0 -
Really long day today, but great apart from finding out that I still suffer from motion sickness! Ended up having to run off of the bus to get sick and then walked the last mile home in the rain uphill. Have changed and gotten dried off really well, but I still feel like I'm freezing!
Anyway, I'm still measuring at 20+1, and baby and placenta is perfect! Little one had its bits wedged underneath my belly button, which is the one place that they can't get a clear picture, so we are still team yellow for the moment! Hopefully we will be able to find out what it is at our 28 week scan.
Baby definitely does not like having a scan nor the doppler. Sonographer was pushing down really hard to measure the heart properly and the little thing started kicking really hard and really fast! It was having a disco party! We even saw it flip completely over while we were trying to get it to hold still enough to get all of the measurements! :rotfl:

Great news MrsTM - that's so cool you can feel so much and got to see baby flip over! baby was really lazy on my scan and curled up so not so exciting but still lovely. Really glad all looks well and healthy.
I've still not felt much movement today - damn anterior placenta! I'm sure all is fine but just not so reassuring as feeling the kicks all day.
Princess kate - i went to a mothercare event last night - I found the talks pretty basic and knew most of it already but am interested in the hynobirthing that they had an external speaker talk about. Was hoping for a bit more useful advice re:breastfeeding and expressing but guess google will have to do the job! I'm wondering if I can get away with just a manual pump as I'm not intending to express much but I guess that might change once sleep deprivation and real-life kick-in! Anyone else looked into pumps etc yet if you're planning to try to breastfeed? The goodie bag also had some pretty good stuff in it and the vouchers will come in handy!0
