    Hi all,

Had a lovely time in Spain visiting the grandparent in laws. Think DD enjoyed all the swimming and ice cream etc.

Not much to report pregnancy wise. Got a small bump but not that noticeable and haven't felt anything yet.

Daisy - sorry to hear that you are having such rubbish care. Seems unfair that is varies so much.

Freebie - hope you feel better . Horrible being ill with a lo to look after.

    Lilmiss - lovely bump pic!

Timeflies - horrible about the buyer. Hope you get another buyer soon.

    Hope everyone else is ok.

I've got a quiet day planned today, been to knitting circle and took woofer to visit her granddad for fathers day. I've had a few wobbles emotionally this week mostly due to exhaustion so today it's a quiet day and tomorrow my sister is coming over to help me finish emptying and boxing the craft room so hubby can make some progress.
  • Timeflies so sorry to hear that. Had it taken you long to sell in the first place?

I'm dreading that happening to us. In terms of looking for houses, we've been looking for ages and having no luck.

Either houses are too expensive, taken off the market just as we want to make an offer or we've seen something we like but hadn't sold our own house at that stage. One house was perfect in every way - except for the sewerage pumping station next door!

Obviously, with a baby on the way, time is of the essence so if we haven't found anywhere to buy by the end of June we will just have to rent for the time being.

Glad you had a great holiday wendz86 (how funny we have a wendz86 and a tia86).

Lilmissreading I meant to say before what a lovely looking bump you have :)

Daisiegg (is that like daisi egg or Daisie gg?) yes, our bump has a Father's Day card for Dad-to-be - no gift though!

Runmichellerun - that was our first viewer that offered within a few days of it going on the market. We accepted the offer two weeks ago, so I guess we've only missed out on two weeks of marketing it. We are going to view a house that sounds almost ideal on Monday though, and obviously we're not in such a good position to have any offer we might make on that (or something else) accepted.

    Hi all.

Not sure what to do. I have been so ill with this pregnancy, sickness, diarrhoea (really bad) but the worse thing is my headache. I am having physio but went back to dr as I was so miserable. I actually could cry my head hurts so much now (hormonal too probably as it's not like me). Anyway was a locum dr who seemed fab. Really thorough and is sending me for blood tests to check for some infection, noticed I was anaemic from my booking in appointment bloods and is re checking my iron levels. Anyway she thinks it's my sinus and has prescribed a steroid nasal spray. However the box says to be avoided during pregnancy and only use if necessary. Anyone else had any experience, google has no definitive answers. I really want to use it as I am just miserable and in pain.

Thank you and I will try and read through the thread later.

    Hi All

Well back from a very tiring day of shopping around Cheshire Oaks and Chester town centre with a nasty case of chafing, backache and bad hips. But did manage to get 4 bras from Elle Macpherson intimates for £50 just hoping they last me a while now. I also bought the Emily Oster book so going to start reading that tonight I think.

Daisiegg - for heartburn try the love heart sweets and also ice cream or milk should help too especially if the Rennies aren't doing anything. Hope that you enjoyed the pram shopping. Really sorry that you're having a crap time with your mw care. It's such a shame that you're in limbo with regards to where to go.

Mr Knight - if the doctor has prescribed it then use it, basically everything says not suitable in pregnancy but that's because they aren't able to do the research of the affect on the baby as obviously who would want to put their baby through unknown risks like that. I had all of my medications stopped when I fell pregnant but have been put on stomach tablets for heartburn as I've had it for years and gaviscon wasn't touching it. Under my consultants instructions I'm also able to take Diazepam 5mg when required due to my condition causing muscle spasms but I tend to feel mega guilty whenever I have to take them but luckily only had to take 4 over the last 20 weeks.

Lilmiss - that's a great bump picture so tidy. I remember you saying that you'd spent time in Perth, it's such a great place now why am I here again lol.

Timeflies - that sucks big time as someone said karma will bite them back.

For fathers day DH isn't getting anything but it's my 20 week scan on Monday so finding out the sex can be a belated present lol.

Freebie - hope you're feeling better tomorrow, just take it easy if/when you can.

Think that's me all caught up xx

Thanks for asking! Daisie gg. Though I suspect in lots of people's minds it is daisi egg! Basically I have always used daisie as a screen name but when I joined MSE obviously it was already in use so rather than adding a number to the end I just added a coupe of random letters. I only joined to ask one quick question on the house buying forum so didn't care about my username.....little did I know that years later I'd still be here with a stupid name that looks like it has egg on the end! :o :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your house selling woes, how rubbish. I really hope you are able to find another buyer soon!

Well I had quite a nice afternoon with my mum. We spent over two hours in Mothercare  no idea how. My grandparents are with us too which is nice but quite tiring. My grandmother is pretty disabled now and in a scooter. But....WE ORDERED OUR PRAM!! :D We have gone for the Bugaboo Cameleon. My parents are buying it for us which is very kind. I am thrilled as it is the one I wanted from the start. I did keep an open mind and was very willing to look at other prams but nothing else ticked all the boxes...I just kept going back to that one. So I am glad it is ordered now.

My grandparents bought us a Winnie the Pooh bath set (got a baby bath, top and tail bowl, thermometer and some sponges or flannels or towels or something) and I bought a mattress for the crib that my grandad made when I was born. So quite successful. I am knackered now though - feet killing me after being out and about for close to 4 hours (how pathetic!) though luckily back is not too bad.

I have had very little bump comments at all so far but today the lady selling us the pram commented on how 'small' my bump is and how she thought I looked three months not six! It must have just been the dress I was wearing hiding it because nothing about my body is small lol. Either that or I still just look fat and not pregnant :( also my grandma upset me by saying something about my bump joining up....she said last time she saw me i had a lump at the top and a lump at the bottom. Obviously she meant my B bump, which still isn't really joined up. I was irrationally really upset about this as I had kidded myself that I was managing to hide the B in clothes, but obviously not and everyone has just been able to see it all along! :( nevermind...I know there are more important things to worry about....I just need to get my head around the fact that I will never have a nice bump and look like the other pregnant ladies I see walking around. It really is not a big deal in the scheme of things so I need to get over it!
